2 comments about The Ultimate Wreath Book: Hundreds of Beautiful Wreaths to Make from Natural Materials.
- I've owned this book for several years. This book is a wonderful book. It has easy to follow instructions and even explains what items you will need to make the wreaths. This book may inspire you to even use your own ideas. I know it inspired me. It is a fun Christmas family activity craft book. Not many of those left around. It is a heavy book and the pages are full of pictures and illustrations. I would recommend this book to anybody who wants to start making your own wreaths. This book will educate and enlighten you.
- This book is sure to stop the winter doldrums quick in their tracks! The book is filled with inspirational and exciting renditions of Ms. Platt's designs on wreath making. It will surely appeal to those who desire to create masterpieces of similar design,as well as those who simply enjoy artistic designs in wreaths.

5 comments about How to Do Wreaths If You Think You Can't (How to Arrange Florals If You Think You Can't).
- THIS IS A GREAT BOOK FOR ANY FLORIST OR CRAFTER. I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE WHO DECORATES AND DOES CRAFTS!!!!
- This is a wonderful book! It has been in my collection for several years now and I have used it a countless number of times for inspiration and as a valuable reference guide in creating my own floral designs.
Whether you are a novice or have been making floral crafts for years, this is the ultimate book on creating beautiful wreaths for your home. It outlines everything you need to know to get started: identifying and explaining in detail the different types of tools, supplies and floral materials commonly used in floral crafting, as well as providing step-by-step instructions for basic floral techniques and bow making. Once you get a feel for the basics, there are 94 beautifully illustrated projects to create or to be inspired by, including some neat alternatives to the basic wreath. I highly recommend this book.
- I was very disappointed in the wreaths that the author was going to help me make, because as many as there were (a lot) I found them overloaded with decorations, unbalanced and nothing I would make to give or sell. The step by step "recipes" for each wreath did have some helpful tips for the novice.
- How To Do Wreaths gives you good ideas. And the easy to follow step by step instructions are very helpful. Also included are the tools needed to get yourself atarted. Overall a very useful book.

5 comments about The Complete Book of Wreaths: 200 Delightful & Creative Designs.
- I like this book; however, some of the ideas are kind of weird and not easy to create. The basics are very good and helpful. I enjoy making wreaths and I hope to eventually start a business making wreaths, decorating baskets and creating other handmade home decor, so this is just one of the many books I hope to purchase to help me get started.
- I would not buy this book if I were you. Here's why:
Reason # 1: It's very outdated. The copyright is 2001 but the copyrights for the materials and ideas comes from books that have copyrights from 1988-1995. This book is a compilation of other outdated books. There is not one idea from after 1995.
Reason #2: The wreaths are very unattactive (like one that is made out of potatoes, seriously, potatoes???? or the one made out of garlic cloves !!!) I don't think that I would make even 1 wreath out of the 200 ugly designs.
Reason # 3: There are no step-by-step directions. Each page has 1 picture of the finished wreath with a few sentences on what to do. There is no material list provided for the wreath you are trying to make. If I wanted to just eyeball it and make a wreath from something that I see, then I would go to a craft store, where they have hundreds of premade (and expensive) wreaths to look at. But I bought a book for ideas and instructions which are not provided in this book.
I hoped that I have helped you make an informed choice on whether or not to buy this book. I don't know what the other reviewers were thinking. I would keep looking if I were you.
- I have this book and the ideas are quite helpful.
the steps are easy to follow and can be done with just about any material you can find. the designs are beautiful. i would recomend this book to any floral designer.
- I picked up this book to see if I would be able to make some wreaths for my home. Having never done it before, it is very encouraging to see the instructions photographed and clearly written in this book. The wreaths are absolutely gorgeous and detailed, and I loved seeing the different types. Being a beginner, I also appreciated the listings of all the flowers and supplies needed for each wreath, which are included in the descriptions. I'm buying it for my daughter, Emily, who has made some nice wreaths on her own. I recommend this book to anyone who is serious about making something beautiful for their home.
- What kind of wreath do you want to make?
Oh, you want to make a square wreath? Oh, you want to make three wreaths entwined together? What! you want to make a vine wreath with each vine a different color? No problem. How to make these wreaths and 197 more are in this book. The Complete Book of Wreaths is really a compendium of the wreaths of many different wreath makers. Most of these wreath makers have had other books published. It is great to find all of their talents pooled in this one work. The first 40 pages of this book are devoted to wreath making basics. These are concise instructions on how choose or even make your own wreath base as well as basic points for choosing materials to complement your wreath, like seed pods and ribbons. The next 180 pages are a wreath a page in full color with descriptions for each one that explain what is in the wreath and how to create one like it. The last section is on Novel wreaths like all feathers and potatoes and moss???? And, you won't want to miss Terry Taylor's wreath of broken cups and cup handles. This book only has wreaths, just wreaths and it is wonderful.

- Absolutely lovely book- I've read as many wreath and garland books as I can get my hands on, and this book is superior to most. The quality of the photos and instructions, as well as the great variety of projects, materials, and quantities (of materials) used, contribute to the beauty of this book. I love their many ideas for roses, especially, and lavendar. Great book.

- I thoroughly enjoyed "Making Classic Wreaths"! Mr. Smith
did such an excellent job of describing- in easy to follow
steps-how to make each of the many awesome wreaths in his book.
What I really loved is how the book inspires each of us to
use our imaginations and be creative! The detailed instructions make it easy- even for beginners- to make very polished and
professional looking projects!!! I have read alot of "how to"
books, but I have never enjoyed one more than this one! BUY IT...
YOU WILL LOVE,LOVE, LOVE IT !!!!!
- As the holiday season approaches, many enjoy searching out the perfect wreath for in and outside the home. Now comes a book that helps the reader create their own floral works of art. This book is great because it gives the reader a guide to the ease and time of each project. There are designer tips and how-to photographs in additon to the finished project. Clear definitions of the necessary tools, types of flowers, alternative ideas for changing and updating wreaths are included.
It is no longer necessary to hang a wreath just at Christmas. With this book, year round wreaths are created and celebrated.
This is a wonderful and thoughtful gift for both the seasoned and beginning crafter!

- I have never made wreaths before, so I enjoyed that this book gave great basic tools for starting and explanations of the wreath elements. The book has wonderful ideas and explains clearly how to make each wreath.
- I love this wreath book! The instructions are well written and easy to understand, but the photos - ah - the photos! The photos elegantly, yet simplistically illustrate each and every wreath in the book. The book also adds in variations you could do to some of the wreaths. It's a keeper!

5 comments about Wreaths: Creative Ideas for the Year Round.
- I was very disappointed with this wreath book. It was nothing but an old book with a new cover. False advertising as I thought the wreath designs would resemble the cover. Not so. Just goes to show the old saying "Never judge a book by its cover is true!"
- I ordered this book looking for some new ideas for making different and exciting wreaths and this book gave me exactly what I was looking for in every aspect. Plus it gave me ideas to build on and my imagination ran wild with creativity. I love it when that happens. It is an excellent book and I'm very glad I purchased it. The author did an excellent job of presenting the material and the photography is beautiful. Thanks for a great book Kudos to you.
Sincerely,
Deborah L. Loisel
- As the subtitle implies, this is an idea book. The wreaths are beautiful and the instructions simple. The focus is not only on giving guidelines for preparing the flowers and making the wreaths, but on sharing the elements of design necessary for striking out on your own.
Mr. Kollath steers you through preparing your work space and choosing your tools as only someone who has made many wreaths could do. Instructions are given for air drying and silica preservation of flowers. There are also some wreaths made with fresh flowers. This is a book for those who want to use what they grow and find. There are even instructions on making your own grapevine wreaths, which Mr. Kollath admits is one of his favorite things to do. There are some pretty unusual ideas in this book, like making a baby's wreath with building blocks, and using small wreaths for package toppers. Whatever your color scheme or design theme, there is sure to be a gorgeous full color photo of one of Mr. Kollath's wreaths to spur you on.
- Richard Kollath's Book on Wreaths is very easy to follow and his work is very beautiful. I have looked at numerous books and have found Kollath's Book to be easy to understand and lightweight to carry around for references. It's a Book reference that the reader can say "I can do it" and make creations to beautify their home or gifts for friends. I found that the "Wreaths " book expanded my own creativity and imagination. I like the way it is easy to read and the floral craft pieces are beautiful as well as stunning. Richard Kollath's book has been an inspiration and only added to my own creative pieces of work.
