1. This book contains a peek at the factory floors of the major American aircraft manufacturers of the second world war. Through the liberal use of good quality black and white photographs from the era, we see various aircraft (both famous and not so famous) at various stages of production.

   What would have made this book better? I would like to have seen how each individual plane shaped up as it went down the production line. Nevertheless, it still can be a valuable resource for modellers, or those just plain interested in World War II planes.

1. I have been a faithful reader of Mr. Burness's "Auto Album" since the mid-1970s. This book is by far the most comprehensive compilation of his excellent weekly columns. For example, it features not only the annotated drawings but also the accompanying column.

1. Good coffee table style book on antique farm tractors. Covers all major manufactures and a chapter on orphans. Shows a good range of tractors for each make, but not the full line or history. Great color pictures. Above average for this style of general book on antique tractors.

1. In keeping with the high standards of the illustrated pictorials from Dover, the LIRR in Early Photographs does not disappoint.
   
   This illustrated history covers 90 years of operations of the railroad, from 1865 to 1955. It's all here - early steam, 20th century steam, electrics, deisels, nautical operations, snowfighting, structures and wrecks. Plus a whole lot more.
   
   Lots of very interesting photos, many of them never seen before depict the colorful history of the LIRR before the MTA took over.
   
   A must have for any rail historian or Long Island Railroad enthusiast.

1. I started collecting Hotwheels cars about 3 years ago. What makes me different than most of the other collectors, is that I live in Santiago, CHILE (here, Hotwheels cars market is very small compared with other countries). Many of the variations and models that exist in US, aren't available here. Mike's guide has been an invaluable tool for me to get those variations I never know that exist or I will never find hanging in pegs in Santiago.

   I also have had the chance to email Mike many times and he's very compromised with this hobby (or better said, passion!).

   If you love Hotwheels cars, you MUST buy this guide (or the new one that's coming by the end of March 2004).

I have been telling my fellow collectors about it. Finally a book that answers the question "Is there anyone more obsessed with Hot Wheels than me?" Well Michael my deepest sympathy it might be you. LOL . But I do want to give you your deserved recognition for a job well done on the book. Looking foward to future updates of your book. 5. This is a great book and being a variation collector for many years I can tell you that if there is a variation not listed in Mikes book, it probably does not exist. I have trusted this guy for many years and he has always been a straight shooter. I have never hunted for cars that were just rumors. I was so glad when I heard this book was coming out, I couldn't wait to buy it. It would be great if I had something he didn't have in there, but I'm still looking for all the things that are! And by the way. The Suzuki Quad is listed on Page 79 number 311 c variation, listed as "Tiger Paw Wheel" which some would call the POW wheel. Mike has always used his own abbriviations. That's why I like him and his book. (His web site was great, sure do miss it) He doesn't follow anybody elses lead. He goes his own way. I have met him and he is real easy to talk to. He is also the first one to admit when he is wrong, which you don't see too much these days when people write books. Thanks for the great book, I can't wait for the next one!

1. I was impressed with the subject knowledge base and the illustrated coverage of the book's topic matter. The book came to me in near mint condition and in a timely manner. Good job guy's!! This book will be invaluable to any beginner, I think that a beginner would keep this book by their side for reference for a long time. It's a good book overall. And yet, it covers many area's of interest that an experienced model builder will enjoy and put to use, I'm sure.



2. This 208 page new encyclopedia and price guide covers every stock car kit model ever made from 1/43rd to 1/24th and larger scales. Includes more than 700 models with 400 great black and white and 40 full color photos. A few of the major topics cover from: How Plastic Scale Model Kits are Manufactured, Company Histories, Essentials of Building, Tools and Supplies to After-Market, Building Outside the Box and Building After-Market Kits. Instructions are well illustrated and easy to understand and follow. Very useful and well worth the list price of $19.95.
