  1. This very enjoyable and informative 205 page, Tinker Toy guide book contains more than 400 large, full color and black and white, sharp photos that collector's will be sure to enjoy. Even those who aren't true collectors will find this book informative, and enjoy memories of days gone by. In addition to the great photos, there's plenty of information included and excellent descriptions of items. Prices are provided, but they're 1996 pricing. Every type of Tinker Toy is featured, ranging from Action Toys, Art Sets, Bead Toys, and Construction Sets, to Quester and Playskool. There's plenty of box photos and advertising pieces. There are nice sections featuring items by years. This is an outstanding reference, certain to be enjoyed by collectors.

  2. After finding several boxes and cylinders of Tinker Toys I needed to find out how much they were worth. A collector friend of mine suggested this book, and after purchasing it, it was worth it. It had every item that I had and then some. It gave prices for each, and a picture for most.

  1. Why would anyone create a book about killing Beanie Babies? What are so bad about them? Ty have spent so much time creating these wonderful Beanie Babies. It seemed so cruel seeing those horrid pictures of them being crushed etc. There is no point in making a book only about killing Beanie Babies? Who the heck would waste their time and money on buying Beanie Babies and then just destroying them? I, as only a 6th grader, have written much better animal books then this author has done. I strongly do not reccomend this pointless book. Dont waste your time on it.

  5. This book is a hilarious parody of the Beanie Baby craze. It offers alternative uses for Beanies (when you find out that your investment doesn't pan out). Fully illustrated in gruellingly funny photos. Includes a "Beanie Autopsy" revealing the shocking contents of a Beanie. This book would make a great gift for the Beanie Lover or Loather in your life.

3 comments about Greenberg's Guide to Gilbert Erector Sets: 1913-1932 (Greenberg's Guide to Gilbert Erector Sets).

  1. THIS IS THE QUINTESENTIAL REFERENCE FOR ALL ERECTOR COLLECTORS AS WELL AS BUILDERS. I HAVE HAD THIS BOOK FOR 2+ YEARS NOW AND CAN'T PUT IT DOWN. I CONSTANTLY USE THE EASY TO FOLLOW PROGRESSIONS TO EVALUATE A SET BEFORE I PURCHASE IT AND USE IT AFTER PURCHASING FOR ACCURATE INVENTORY OF THE PARTS WITHIN THE SETS. I WOULD NOT BE WITHOUT THIS MANUAL IF I WERE EVEN THINKING ABOUT STARTING AN ERECTOR COLLECTION. COVERS SETS FROM 1933 -1962. BILL BEAN AND AL STERNAGLE HAVE DONE A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF RESEARCH BEFORE WRITING THIS MANUAL. THE PREDECESSOR TO THIS BOOK, VOLUME 1 IS JUST AS CONCISE AND I RECOMMEND THAT MANUAL AS WELL. TOGETHER, THEY COVER ERECTOR FROM THE CRADLE TO THE PROVERBIAL "GRAVE"...A++++++ IN ALL RESPECTS..G.D/AKA... "DOGWRINKLES"

  2. This is the best book I have found as far as Erector sets go. Very informative , full of pictures and charts to help you complete your set. It also gives values to help in your search of the parts you are missing. I can't say enough about this book . I own both Vol 1&2. I am very happy with them after about a 1 1/2 year search.

  3. After eagarly awaiting the arrival of this book, I must say that I was not dissapointed at all. The information that is provided, is complete, detailed, and easy to understand. If you are trying to date an erector set, or discover what the contents should, this book is for you.

My thanks to Bill Bean for providing a reference manual that really does what it is supposed to.
