1. If you have any love of the English language, and are able to tell good photographs from bad ones, you will truly dislike all of the books by this woman that I have read, including Barbie Exclusives volumes 1, 2 and 3. The text is virtually unreadable, almost completely devoid of any real information, and is generally a painful experience. The photographs are almost equally bad, ranging from grainy yellowish shots, to lovely ones in which box-front glare almost obliterates any details of the doll inside. Truly, you can do much better than this series! Try the Collector's Encyclopedia of Barbie Doll Exclusives and More by J. Michael Augustyniak.

1. An average book for Pokemon. Can't say it was great nor horrible. Outdated by now.



2. Not to recently did i get this magazine was i able to price over 333 rares, holos, and japanese pokemon cards with the greatest of ease. Its easy to see that Scrye has the best up to date prices than any other price guide I have ever seen amongst Beckett, Pojo.com and many others. What also made this magazine a big payout was the japanese pricing and "Translations". Its hands down that this magazine deserves 5 stars because no where else can you find the most up to date pokemon prices.

1. The title "Encyclopedia" suggests a book full of information, but the text of this book is sparse, disjointed, and occasionally downright weird. (It starts with the voyage of the Mayflower. Really. I could not possibly make that up.)
   
   The color photos of the dolls in the most recent edition are lovely, but a surprising number of the book's photos are of old advertising materials, newspaper clippings, promotional displays and even price lists, plus photos of the company's founding family. Far from an encyclopedia about the popular Ginny doll, the book reads as if someone published the company's scrapbook.



2. My review applies to the revised edition I just acquired, 2004 copyright. It features over 350 full-color photos and is very, very informative. I especially liked the fact that all Ginnys shown in this book are wearing their authentic costumes and accessories! This book has very elaborate descriptions and include pictures of many of the original boxes that the Ginnys came in. What more can I say? It's well worth the investment! Love this book!

1. As a primarily modern Betsy collector, I was thrilled at the vast amount of information on the Tonner Betsy dolls, and loved seeing the vintage outfits and dolls pictured in the book. Marci has really done her homework, this is one fabulous book!
