1. I was a bit diappointed with the Cherished Teddies Collector Value Guide. The values are over-estimated, compared to E-bay and other secondary markets. There is not much in the way of information. All the Cherished Teddies are not in there. Basically just a lot of pictures, with release dates and price list. Contains sections for keeping records, and information about insurance. Nice to look at for wish list. A "fast food" approach to collecting. I would like to see more about the artwork, history, and what makes some Cherished Teddies more valuable.



2. This book is handy for organizing your collection, and a MUST for any collector! It was essential in determining how much insurance coverage we should add when we married. Also, I have found it to be extremely handy for spotting Rare Bears and retired pieces, and the book has been a useful tool in online auctions.



3. this book was not as informative as i thought it may be. I have an older book by a different author, and it gives a higher value and any rarities or varations that a teddie may have.. It's an OK book but i would have liked more info..



4. The book was complete and compact. It seemed to have the most up to date information related to if a piece is retried, ect. I also enjoyed being able to write in my collections value and which pieces I have in my collection. I find this book to be helpful in biding for auctions ect.



5. This book was a big help when I tried to see how much my collection is worth. Some of it was a little hard to follow though. Some teddies look like their in hte wrong place and some of the picturs are small and fuzzy.

1. This book is just what I hoped it would be -- authentic Victorian-feeling reproductions, well printed on card stock. It's a great collection. Now -- if I could just part with them, and mail them to people!

1. This book is a must have for any Sally Winey fan or bear maker. This book includes 3 Bear Patterns, step-by-step "how to" photos with written instructions. This book also includes 115 photos of bears that Sally has made. Many of the photos contain multiple bears. Sally has included a history of her bear making, with photos of herself, her family, the different shops she has had plus much, much more. Excellent piece of work.

1. I am really sorry to say, but this book was a disappointment to me. Lots of pictures, but all small, odd-coloured (orange, reddish), straight from some old selling cataloques. The teddies were a minority compared to the other stuffed animals. Furthermore, there were not many pictures of the old Hermann teddies, the vast majority of the teddies were quite new or newer. I found the information part -values etc - rather strange and difficult to use.

1. If you are looking for a book that combines the history of teddy bears with lots of full color photos of individual bears that is also packed with a lot of interesting facts about each bear (and about bear making in general) then this is the book for you.

   I am not a serious teddy bear maker, but I enjoy looking at the myriad of photos of the antique bears and learning more about teddy bear history.

1. This book is layed out simply; gives understandable instructions on its' use; and two different examples. Great way to catalog your collection and also to have a record of the number, type and value of your collection for insurance purposes should anything (ie. fire, theft) happen to your collection.Note: You would then want to store your book in a firesafe place!

1. I would have liked more color photos. Several of the color photos had poor lighting and made it difficult to fully appreciate the pictures.



2. Beautiful photos illustrate Muffy's lifestory... The price guide in back is invaluable to the vanderbear collector. A MUST HAVE book if you collect Muffy!



3. This book, is great and informative if you like Muffy Vanderbear. It includes just about all the outfits, except the newest ones. You gotta get this book if you love Muffy Vanderbear, family, and friends!



4. If you love Muffy this book is a must have! Included are photos of the past and present members of the Vanderbear family (and friends too!). This is a great source for clear photos of Vanderbears which cannot be seen well in the Muffy Club photo album (also of course a must have.) In addition there is a great deal of valuable information on variations in Muffy over the years as well as interesting historical facts about the Vanderbears. Definitely a must for Muffy collectors!
