4. I waited for about three weeks for this book to arrive. It came from a public library. I did not care to pay almost $15.00 for this. I could have bought it new for the wait and book itself. Disappointed!



5. Creo que construimos la vida de dentro afuera. Y, hasta cierto punto, podemos influir en lo que nos rodea mediante una actitud positiva y ESFUERZO. Esta última palabra, junto con otras, como DISCIPLINA, están desapareciendo a marchas forzadas de nuestro vocabulario. Son como esas especies animales que se extinguen día a día en nuestros bosques. En su lugar han ido reapareciendo otras especies del pasado: animales mitológicos, mágicos, genios de la lámpara de Aladino, que nos garantizan la felicidad con solo soñar un poquito. Y sin estresarse, ¿eh?
   
   Panfletos como El Secreto, nos advierten del peligro de considerar siquiera lo negativo. Si alguien lo está pasando mal, nuestro deber es cerrar los ojos. Al fin y al cabo es su culpa. La compasión es un error, nosotros debemos preocuparnos por nuestra prosperidad (DINERO) y así, de paso, les mostraremos el camino a los otros. Me parece una filosofía de lo más superficial. De lo más egoísta y estúpido. Es la superstición que no nos ha dejado nunca. Es Peter Pan diciendo "tú puedes volar si piensas pensamientos bellos". Mandrake el mago, haciendo un pase mágico.
   
   En cuanto al "libro", es una colección de citas y cuentos convenientemente arreglados para darnos una moraleja; eso sí, con un envoltorio cuidadísimo. Tipo Walt Disney. Creo que en futuras ediciones le podían añadir un sombrero de pico y una varita. Por lo que respecta a los "escritores" (la mayoría, como Joe Vitale, con doctorados falsos) son el moderno equivalente a esos charlatanes que iban vendiendo elixires milagrosos por los pueblos en los tiempos del salvaje Oeste.
   
   Si alguien está interesado en saber sobre New Thought (El Nuevo Pensamiento, que es en lo que se basa este librillo), le recomiendo que lea a Ernest Holmes, sobre todo Creative Mind and Success, quizá también él esté hablando de magia. Pero de una magia mucha más profunda y humana.

1. It's really hard to find board books in the original Spanish, which means the majority of books available are translations that don't have the same rhyme/meter/ease of the original. Our version of this books reads "piececitos" for "feet" which is excessively awkward (less awkward would be "piecitos") and, according to some, incorrect. We're raising our son to be bilingual and since he gets English at school we try to exclusively speak Spanish in the home. It's hard to find culturally/linguistically accurate books in Spanish for him that aren't 1) bilingual and/or 2) sloppily translated. Bummer.



2. My 18 month old daughter loves this book. My husband and I do also, except for the fact that all of the names of the body parts are written with "ito" at the end. (used to say it is small) I would prefer "boca" and not "bociquita", or "ojos" instead of "ojitos". Other than that it is a great book. Especially with the flaps.



3. This book is fun for my 8 month old. He has learned where to flip the pages up or down and enjoys playing with the folds. The paper does usually return to its usual spot, but could be more sturdy (that's why I gave 4 stars rather than 5.)



4. I brought this book for my daughter-in-law to read to our grandchild. They are teaching dual languages (English and Spanish) to him as his other grandparents are Chileans.



5. It is a nice educational book, and my daughter ( between 1 and 2.5 years) used it and liked it a lot. I would recommend it.

5 comments about Los Cinco Lenguajes Del Amor: Como expresar devocion sincera a su conyuge (Five Love Languages, Spanish edition).

1. Gary Chapman expone en su libro un análisis interesantísimo y bien escrito de los lenguajes afectivos del humano. La lectura no le será solamente beneficiosa para la relación que mantiene con su cónyuge sino también afectará positivamente sus lazos interfamiliares o con los amigos. Chapman da muchos ejemplos prácticos y de la vida real, de modo que cada lector podrá identificarse con alguno de los tipos de comunicación afectiva descritos. "Los cinco lenguajes del amor" es una obra muy práctica y aplicable a la vida cotidiana. Yo lo considero una contribución bastante útil y absolutamente recomendable para enriquecer su comunicación afectiva y comprender mejor sus propias necesidades.



2. este libro es exelente y salvo mi matrimonio... todos deberian leerlo, yo se los regalo a mis amigos siempre que se presenta la oportunidad o que siento que lo nesesitan!

   a) Palabras de afirmación (como el reconocer logros, elogiar y dar ánimo).
   b) Tiempo de calidad (como el escuchar con atención, realizar paseos y viajes juntos).
   c) Recibir regalos (como las flores, las joyas y los libros).
   d) Actos de servicio (como lavar el automóvil, cortar el césped, hacer la comida, cuidarle en la enfermedad).
   e) Toque físico (como tomar la mano, dar abrazos, besos).
   
   Es de suma importancia que cada cónyuge descubra cuál de estos "lenguajes" aprecia más su cónyuge. Es grato y aun necesario "hablar" todos estos lenguajes emocionales para expresar amor a su cónyuge, pero conviene un énfasis especial en aquel que el o ella siente hondamente. Es posible que uno esté amando con un lenguaje que el otro apenas siente o entiende como amor. Si a cierta esposa lo que más le hace sentirse amada son las palabras de afirmación, no le será tan importante que todos los días su esposo le regale algo material, sin elogiarle o animarla verbalmente.
   
   Como referencia, otro buen libro cristiano acerca de la comunicación y como mejorar las relaciones con los demás (conyuge, hijos, amigos, hermanos, compañeros de trabajo, etc) vea: Como Relacionarse Mejor: Manual de Tecnicas Para Desarrollar Relaciones Mas Satisfactorias, Dinamicas y Duraderas (Serie Recursos Ministeriales)



5. Creo que toda pareja de casados deberia leer este libro. Particularmente puedo decir que aprendi muchisimo de este libro. Si se pone en practica lo que ensena, sin duda alguna la relacion alganzara un maravilloso nuevo nivel.

1. Te ayuda a superarte dia a dia... yo compre 2 para obsequiarles a mis amistades.
   Y realmente quede muy bien, ya que es un muy buen libro.. ideal para aquellas personas que gustan de la superacion propia y son capaces de aprender con el dia a dia.
   Recomiendo este libro para todas las edades.



2. I would recommend this book. I keep it by my bed and review a page every night, or sometimes also in the morning before my day begins. Since I got it I even have more energy because the energy is now flowing in the right direction.

1. Este pequeño libro, es de lo mejor que he leido en mi vida. Cuanta sabiduria en unas cuantas paginas. Lo podria leer una y otra vez para siempre.



2. Excelente libro, es una guia para la liberacion de pensamientos e ideologias que han permanecido en nuestra vida por muchos anos y que lo unico que hacen es impedirnos la verdadera felicidad y el alcanze de nuestras metas .



3. Voy por la segunda lectura del libro. Es muy bueno y provoca repasar sus enseñanzas. Es el primer paso para iniciar el camino hacia la libertad personal.

1. This books explain in a simple method all the functions of the mind and all the power you have using your subconciuos mind. Your life will chage a lot if you read this book.

3. This is one of the worst examples of flagrant miss-use of scientific langugage. Only because I believed the scientific impression of the title did I buy the book in Spanish and English in order to be a tool for improving my spanish. Even if that is about $50 wasted, I WILL NOT waste any time on ANY of it. I want to enjoy the information that I read when I improve my spanish, not read nonsense and prattle. I will improve my spanish by HONEST and interesting books. They say that religious people in general can be trusted more than non religious people. Well that is absolutely NOT the case. Here is a case of religious people TRYING EVERYTHING to take you in, and they have NO IDEA that their dishonesty is as clear as the sun on a clear day. Dishonesty is LYING and the xth commandment is supposed to tell them "thou shalt not lie"; "thou shalt not bear false witness". Pretending Science while sprouting Religion is lying, is dishonesty, is bearing false witness.
   
   My problem with the book is that I want to know about the power of the subconscious mind and they tell me to pray and the power of god and to learn to pray and how other people did this and that and got magic of the subconscious mind, and you will get the magic etc etc etc. it is EVERYWHERE throughout the book. No science in sight.

5. Este libro nos demuestra el gran poder y capacidad que contiene nuestra mente humana. I have only been on it for a week so I am still in the strict phase, but I have already lost 6 pounds. I feel better about myself and I have more energy. If you are serious about getting healthy, I highly recommend this book. You will not be disappointed.

5. I read this a few years ago because someone I was visiting had it in their apartment. At one point Kiyosaki says that rich buy assets and the poor buy liabilites. Basically an asset pays you without you doing anything - for example interest from the bank. Likewise a liability takes money without you doing anything. (Although he does point out that in the case of a house and a car both require continuous money for up keep but may be needed for other reasons.) For me assessing whether I was aquiring assets or liabilities was a breakthrough in how to look at things. I'm not rich and unlikely to be so (which I'll get to next paragraph), but it has very much helped me to clarify how I think about spending.
   
   Kiyosaki also gives advice about specific types of investment strategies. Many of them take more daring than I have (and that's why I will never be rich although with longer term planning I will likely do OK). However all are based on the same strategy of aquireing assets. Which goes into why reading the book might be good even though I just gave the big secret away. For example in speculating in real estate Kiyosaki is especially clear on an asset being something that you don't have to continually manage. In this case have someone else who is unclogging toilets for your tenants. Treat this employee well and tip your broker and generally pay attention to and be generous with people who are part of your assets.
   
   Basically this is a good book to clarify your strategies involving money. Even if you are cautious like me it is helpful in terms of helping you clarify how you think about money. I don't think it can make you "get rich quick" but it is still very good to have read it. (4 stars not 5 because the specific investment strategies aren't for my personality)
