1 comments about Collector's Compass: Jewelry.
- If you're about to dip your toe into the jewelry collecting pool, or you want to become a dealer, you really have to buy this book. It is a well-organized, thorough examination of the history of jewelry, and the market in jewelry. The book has plenty of inside tips no dealer or other collector will give you. Get this book under your belt and you're on your way to being a jewelry maven!

3 comments about Collector's Encyclopedia of Compacts: Carryalls & Face Powder Boxes (Collector's Encyclopedia of Compacts , Vol 2).
- Excellent works, both Volumes I and II.
Very important that all photos in colour, grouped according to type. Careful and clear document, with accompanying advertisement reproductions illustrating the compacts, the styles, the periods covered. Carefully researched, very neat, clear easy to follow. Huge selection, especially with 2 volumes. Estimated values may/not be accurate, but author explains which models need what parts for best vlues. I highly recommend.
- This volume, along with volume one, is the source for compacts. There are tons of color photos of everything from compacts and vanities to plies, powder boxes, rouge compacts, and advertising. Mueller gives fine intros to each of her topics, educating the reader on the makers, the different styles, and where to focus your collecting if you don't have big bucks. Mueller also doesn't jack up the prices to astronomical heights like Gerson's book--prices are reasonable and acceptable for easy- and hard-to find compacts. The book is well organized, and I'd be hard-pressed to see how to do this one better.
- I have both volumes and find these books easy to read with beautiful pictures and descriptions of compacts and carryalls. I reference these books everytime I am about to make a purchase. The compact values are listed under each picture with description so you don't have to look in another part of the book for the price as so many price guides are written. I highly recommend this book as well as volume 1 for any serious compact collector.

1 comments about Nail Pullers.
- First of all, this book happens to fall EXACTLY in line with one of my life and bank account enhancing hobbies, the history of nails and nail pullers. I could NOT be more biased going in to this ambitious book...I am the creator of the Nail Jack, the 21st century answer to a nail pulling hand tool, so this book was a dream come true. The research was relevant, the illustrations copious, but please Mister Fredrich, why not more historical narration? Surely you have so much to share with like minded people out there in what must be a small niche, so give us that wealth of knowledge! Come out with your next book much stronger on historical anecdotes and interviews with these great resources, from the companies to the employees to the inventors to the families. It's a great start, but please...follow this one up!

2 comments about Collins Gem Antique Marks: Find the Mark to Make you Rich! (Collins Gem).
- A little misleading , marks are mostly for silver and gold antiques, not very many porcelain marks.
- This book is very handy to take with you to garage sales, swap meets and antique sales. Very well organized and easy to use.

5 comments about Ty Beanie Babies Value Guide: Summer 1999 (Collector's Value Guide Ty Beanie Babies).
- This book was great! It tells you how much the beanie babies are worth and when they where made. It shows the pictures of the beanie babies. In the back it has a list of the beanie babies and you can check off the ones that you have.
- The year 2000 means that we'll probably see yet another edition of this outdated book.
- I have heard that for the year 2000, Beanie Babies will no longer be. Can you comment on this, it would be a great disappointment for alot of children.
- If you are looking for information in Beanie Babies, there are three magazines out which give newer, more current, and more complete information than this. Also, numerous web sites, including Ty's own, are up to the minute. Every edition of this book just shows pictures of the beanies, which we've seen hundreds of times by now and never goes into any detail about them. Why are certain styles popular, and with whom? Some pieces are more plentiful than others and this kind of information is never analyzed. Until they provide more detail about the Beanies, this book will remain an inessential purchase and money not well spent.
- This book is Great better than most other beanie books but they need to include more info about the beanies. This book has a little info but not as much as I like.
