2 comments about Blue Mystery: The Story of the Hope Diamond.
- This book is concise and informative, with an overview of basic facts about the Hope Diamond, it's history and owners. Anyone with an unreasonable fear of the Hope Diamond will be particularly interested in the fact that Cartier manufactured the "curse" to sell the diamond based on a novel, "The Moonstone." "Blue Mystery" is an excellent precursor to "Queen of Diamonds", a fascinating autobiography of Evalyn Walsh McLean, the last private owner of the Hope Diamond.
- The book intresed me in many ways! Just think all of the owners and some family members died in a horrible way. I've always had a special intrest in mysteries like this one. And probaly like others I want to get a chance to see it. Now that I've read the book I'm to scared!

2 comments about Silver Novelties in The Gilded Age: 1870-1910.
- The only thing I wish was included in this book were more ordinary items the average collector mught come upon.
Outside of that, the presentation, the color pages, and the written information is very detailed and sure to please.
- This book is written in such a way that both novice and expert collectors will learn a great deal about silver. It offers both history and culture to the reader. The author makes it impossible to put the book down. "Silver Novelties in The Gilded Age" by Deb Crosby has inspired me to collect!...

5 comments about Cork Silver And Gold: Four Centuries of Craftsmanship.
- Cork Silver And Gold: Four Centuries Of Craftsmanship was published to coincide with the exhibition in the Crawford Gallery Cork, but stands alone as well as the first to detail the work of Cork silversmiths and goldsmiths, and will appeal to specialty art collections. Both public and private holdings were culled for this feature: what results is a display which will serve as both a history and a reference to any dedicated jewelry student studying Cork craftsmanship.

3 comments about Rubies & Sapphires (Fred Ward Gem Book Series).
- Great book by a knowledgeable and easy to understand author. The anecdotal recounts will help to keep everyone's interest, regardless of background.
- Fred Ward is the author of the classic series on gems published in National Geographic magazine and this book displays similar quality. Meticulously researched, wonderfully photographed, it is a marvelous introduction to the subject.
- Fred Ward has a clear and concise writing style. This book is comprehensive, despite it's slender size. It is stunningly illustrated, with fabulous photos of well-known, and ordinary, gemstones and objets d'art. A must for the fan of jewels and gemstones. I'm collecting all his books now.
