1. My biggest complaint abt this book is that the photos in the Picture Gallery are not separated into categories. Everytime I want to identify some item, I have to page through most of the Picture Gallery photos b/4 I find it. Very frustrating. If you don't mind spending time looking at every page, you will love this book.



2. M.A. Harman's Collecting Blue Willow is packed with color photos of blue willow ware. From brown and green patterns to the well-known blue, this packs in values, photos, and an exceptionally handy list of marks in back.

3 comments about Chintz (3rd Edition) : The Charlton Standard Catalogue.

1. Simply the best guide to chintz patterns and pricing. Very well researched, and the shapes and catalog pages at the back are especially helpful. I do wish the pattern photographs on each page were both larger and of better quality, though ~ that would seem a better match with the sterling quality of the rest of the book.



2. Year on year Susan updates and adds to the definitive chintz guide. A mine of priceless information. Well presented, beautifully illustrated and an absolute essential for anyone even remotely interested in chintz pottery. This third edition is a must!



3. This is a stunningly beautiful book packed completely with beautiful photographs. For someone interested in collecting chintz, this is the absolute best thing I've found for learning about the range of patterns. That range is far more extensive than one would expect from the sparse collections of chintz at antique shops and shows. This book will fire the imagination!

1. Excellent source of information abouthead vases. The pictures are accurateand clear and for the most part, in color. But the best thing about it ascompared to other books about the subject is that it contains very interesting information about the earlyimporters and manufacturers of headvases-Enesco, Napco, Relpo,and Rubens, to name a few [...] from me. 1. This guide has a key to the dating systems used by the major manufacturers of pottery and porcelain. In fact, it was the only guide at my local library that had such a key. It's certainly worth purhcasing for the dating systems only. However, it is also a good reference for the collector.
