1. I was disappointed in this book of postcards. While it does, in fact, feature cows, the photographer does not seem to love, appreciate or enjoy his subjects. They look boringly bovine, not divine. You can tell when a photographer truly loves his subject. That affectionate touch is missing here and it hurts.

1. In Wyman's book, Coyote, he not only captures the essence of the lifeway of the coyote, but he is giving the reader a glimpse into the psyche of himself. He is truely a naturalist, giving credit to the predator where credit is due. Knowing Wyman personally, and having received my copy of this book from him, I know first hand that he wrote this book with respect to years of hard earned knowledge of this creature. Whether Wyman is hunting the coyote, taking it's picture, or writing about this hard working animal, he is always considerate and honest. What you see in this book...well, that's exactly what you would see if you had the inclination to visit with these wild cretures in their own habitat. The photos in this book are the REAL thing...there are no rented animals in here. Read about the coyote and learn to appreciate the part this animal plays in our ecological system!

   Also, I would like to suggest this book be given as a gift to others without hesitation, young and old alike. It's my mothers favorite book of Wymans...I like them all!

1. I've been going to Ocean City, Maryland all my life, and I try to obtain any books about the town.
   
   I got this one, and was very happy with it. It perfectly illustrates the history of Ocean City through post cards. And full color pictures of the post cards.
   
   Included is a brief history of Ocean City.
   
   Highly recommended. Buy it now. Back in the late nineties, a similar book called "Down the Ocean" was published. It's now out of print and pretty hard to find. So, I'd say get this if you can.

1. Be warned! This little book of lovely Halloween postcards is very nice, but NOT the one shown. 1. The title is simply "Halloween Postcards," not the much longer title indicated. 2. The picture shown in the listing does not appear either on the cover or inside. If you use the "Search Inside" feature you can see what's really on offer, including the real cover. 3. The incomparable Ellen H. Clapsaddle did a few of these postcards but by no means all or even a majority of them, so she can hardly be fairly described as the "author." 4. There are only 10 postcards, so saying the book contains 24 pages (and that includes both sides of the front and back covers!) is again very misleading.
   
   It's a nice little booklet, just not what's purportedly on offer. I was pleased with the booklet, but disappointed to get something different than what was advertised. I don't know if they mixed this book up with a different one (perhaps an earlier edition?), or if the whole thing is just a Hallowe'en "trick."
