1. This charming little book is not a dry collectors' manual of fine china. Rather, it is a brief overview of cups in history, with a special emphasis on 20th-century and contemporary fine artists' interpretations. Also included are humorous, kitschy flea-market finds, and other irreverent examples. Definitely the art lover's cup of tea!



2. It is ridiculous and I feel betrayed when I recieved this book. It is not expensive, but totally unecessary. I want inspirations for painting, but this one has absolutely nothing! Compare itwith Sheila Southwell and you will know why. I laughed about it, and my friends too!For this reason I'm grateful, and rated this book with 1/5 stars.



3. a great example of variations on a theme being the root of human creativity... not a book of rich people's china but an ecclectic picture book of the potter's art, commercial and yes some fine china... as a potter I find it a delight

1. This 200 page softbound book contains over 1,000 full color, large, sharp photos of every type of ceramic coin bank. Each entry includes the description, size, dates and value (1997). Although essentially an I.D. and value guide, there is a considerable amount of information of value and interest to the collector. Included are: Ceramic Manufacturing Processes, Dating, Condition, Rarity Ratings, Geographical Ceramic Manufacturing Centers, and Photo Notes. Chapters range from Human heads, Humans, Cats, Dogs and Elephants, to Squirrel, Fish, Monkeys, Lions, Vegetables, Pots, Books, Vehicles and Ships and Purses. A complete glossary and bibliography are provided. Very useful for collectors of this popular topic.



2. This is a great book for the established or beginning coin bank collector! It really has a great variety for any type of specialized ceramic bank afficianado. As a long time collector & seller I recommend this book to any one!

1. I was totally impressed by the Warwick China book by John Rader which I bought from Amazon.com. The entire book is excellent and was exactly what I was hoping for, and then some. This hard-cover book has a great history of the Warwick China Co. in the front, then section by section about the products it produced, complete with lots of high quality photos. Best of all, this book has easy to understand estimated values of each item, which helped me price several Warwick pieces I currently own. This is an invaluable reference book for any Warwick collector or dealer.

1. This exhibition catalogue is an adequate - but not encyclopedic -- introduction to the monochromatic porcelain collections of the National Palace Museum. The Museum has very limited English-language publications related to their collections, making this publication's excellent translations especially valuable. Each piece exhibited is described succinctly. The photographs are of high quality. A useful reference as well as introduction to monochromatic porecelains of the collection.
