  1. This Book is very well presented and put together. It is a great guide to Noritake, from an American perspective. I am still waiting for a thorough Worldwide Noritake Book.

  2. In one volume, Spain takes the reader through Noritake's art deco production. That is an important point--this volume is not about the dinnerware lines, but rather concerns itself with the art deco "fancyware" or giftware items. Organized alphabetically, beautiful cake plates, dresser boxes, vases, etc. are illustrated, and chapters start off with excellent introductions. The opening chapter itself is very helpful, outlining the overlapping "Nippon" and "Noritake" collecting periods. Not just a collector book, this book also provides a history of the company, and is well-written, accurate, and the best collector book available on the subject. Highly recommended.

  3. Even if you have absolutely no idea what Noritake is, you'll love this book. Why? The writing is masterful, the photography superb, and the many pictures in brilliant colour which show off the glorious lustre of these precious antiques. A coffee table book not to be missed! :-)

  1. This is a fairly useful book for Wade collectors with some nice colour plates. My interest lies in tableware, and there is little information out there on such items; this book goes some way to redress that. There are gaps, which I guess are hard to avoid when there were so many items produced by Wade. Also, I found the layout made the book difficult to use. When I found an item I wanted to know more about it was hard to find the information as the details appeared often amongst a myriad of figure numbers for the photos and numbers for the particular item. That aside there is plenty of information here which goes beyond the ubiquitous whimsies.

  1. I purchased this book based on these reviews and I was disappointed. I am interested in ANTIQUE Limoges vs newer pieces of Limoges and new boxes from retail shops. Love Schiffer books and I highly recommend Antique Limoges at Home.

  2. This is the perfect book for the person wanting to know about Limoges porcelain. From Limoges Boxes to specific manufactures of all different types of pieces, it's all in here! The pictures are beautiful! The backmarks and values make it a great tool for anyone wanting to collect Limoges.

  3. Waterbrook-Clyde have done a lot of research in compiling their list of backmarks for so many various Limoges companies. There are also many photos of beautiful and unusual pieces of Limoges porcelain. They have done a great job with a very difficult study.
