1. I picked the book up this weekend & it was love at firstsight! I have been a collector of RSP for 10 years & a club memberfrom the start of q collecting. I have used the RSP books as my guide for molds & authenticating unmarked pieces. This book has shown so many new molds, & has so many original catalog cuts included to add to interest. The pictures were clear,& I like the est. price being included with the description to save page filpping! Enjoyed "The Early Years" as well. Thanks for you time well spent on this! END

1. I expected more out of Christies. This slim book gave a brief history of the subject and lots of pictures, but no information on how to evaluate the age or quality of the pieces. A big disappointment.

1. I found the book to be quite interesting, not to mention beautifully photographed. While I have to agree with some of the other reviewers that the book tends to be a bit jaded (since the author IS the President of a major Limoges distributor), it is still packed with history and facts. However, I would have preferred that it also mention current values of some of the many styles of Limoges boxes. 'Looks great sitting on the coffee table!!



2. If you've been looking for a collector's book on Limoges porcelain boxes for many years like I have then you'll be overjoyed to know that someone has finally done an incredible job.

   The "Limoges Porcelain Box: From Snuff To Sentiments" by Richard Sonking has everything true collectors could possibly want. This is one coffee-table book that will not gather dust. The photographs are beautiful. It will provide wonderful reading, with a wealth of information and history in addition to how the boxes are designed from start to finish.

3. The author of the book is the President of Rochard, a major producer of Limoges Boxes. If you want to learn about the history of the porcelein and painting techniques - read on. However, I wanted to learn more about the different artists and manufacturers. Mr. Sonking features only his "Rochard" boxes. Too slanted for my taste.



4. This beautiful book, a labor of love by the man behind Rochard Limoges, is a must have for any devoted collector of porcelain boxes. The photographs are gorgeously laid out to tell the history and show the manufacture of these exquisite collectible art objects.

1. Very informative book with page after page of fascinating photographs. Well worth the money and a great addition to any porcelain, parian subject library.



2. This book is an absolute must for every serious collector of English parian. It contains a wealth of information about the history and popularity of this highly specialized porcelain.

   The hundreds of photographs and sketches help guide the collector and dealer alike in accurately describing and categorizing their examples.

1. This author has extensively researched a previously little-known subject. This book is so complete that I think auction houses will use it as a reference. The photographs are stunning and the line drawings extremely detailed. Prices are listed for each item, which is most helpful. What is invaluable is the effort the author has made to trace the manufacturers of as many shoes as possible. What a bonus for shoe collectors!

1. Too good to go on the coffee table!. This is a great reference for those Minton collectors, and historians. There are not many books on Minton available, but this is a MUST HAVE for your library. The *only* issue I have is that it does not have the famous Minton "seaweed pattern" mentioned anywhere. Photos are great, and overall it is well researched.
