4 comments about Collectors Guide to Barbie Doll Vinyl Cases: Identification and Values.
- Just what the novice barbie collector needs! I was pulling my hair out trying to tell one case from the next. This really helped me identify which of my cases were vintaigge and valuable. The book more than paid for it's self by the time I sold my first case.
- This book is absolutely WONDERFUL! I purchased this book to use as a handbook referral guide when I was buying up vinyl Barbie cases on Ebay for my collection. It is absolutely the "bible" for Barbie vinyl cases: the pictures are invaluable, & the information given is gold. If you are a serious Barbie vinyl collector, you MUST have this book--I would highly recommend to any Barbie collector!
- This book was extremely helpful in identifying all the vintage Barbie cases and the different variations. With the help of this book I was able to indentify and purchase several rare cases. I would recommend this book to all serious Barbie collectors! Many thanks to Connie Craig Kaplan for writing this book!
- Kaplan uses just the right blend of pictures and commentary to make this book an absolute "must-have" for the Barbie doll case collector. From the very first case all the way through the generic early '70's cases, Kaplan has it covered. There are mentions of late '60's vinyl lunchboxes, and she even displays coin purses, pencil pouches, and room/structures that double as cases. It doesn't appear as though she missed a thing in the genre. Kaplan has created a superb and interesting book with realistic prices that will not only entertain and help the reader reminisce; but, it will also have you running to your attic to see if you still have that old case of yours in the corner. Terrific!

1 comments about Chocolate Memorabilia (Schiffer Book for Collectors).
- We recently purchased this book along with several others from Schiffer for resale in our antique shop. We were very disappointed with this book and would not recommend it to anyone. The book is poorly written and lacks any kind of insight into the history of chocolate companies other than Wilburs. The book misrepresents itself as a book on chocolate memorabilia. There were dozens of chocolate manufacturers during the turn of the century and we would have liked to have seen others represented. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!

1 comments about Old Telephones (Shire Albums).
- This publication contains the best collection of wall mounted and desk telephones used by Britain's telephone system over a 75 to 100 year period. There are pictures of most of the models used as well as a written description of how these phones worked, where and when they were used, and information about the many manufacturers who provided the telephone equipment. What may not be known to the average telephone collector is that many American firms provided telephone equipment to Britain either direct or through British manufacturing branches of these companies.
British telephones are very collectible by British, Australian, and American collectors as well as collectors from many other parts of the world. There are many collectors in Europe who collect not only telephones used and produced in their own countries but from Britain and the U.S. as well. The book contains a huge array of photos of many designs and types with full explanations and details for each. This publication is a valuable reference and should be in any collector's library.

2 comments about Camel Cigarette Collectibles: The Early Years : 1913-1963 (Schiffer Book for Collectors).
- I'm generally thought of with a magnifying glass in one hand, and the bowl of a pipe in the other, but truth be told I've been a cigarette man most of my life, and since discovering Camel cigarettes in the 40s, they are my preferred brand. I was always quite fond of the illustration that adorned the package of the original non-filtered Camel cigarette, and at one time collected the empty packs until a doctor friend of mine told me that my smoking habit was bad enough without adding another addiction to the mix.
This fine book, "Camel Cigarette Collectibles: The Early Years: 1913-1963" should bring back warm memories for all those who would walk a mile for a Camel if only their failing lungs would let them. I still smoke 'em, enjoy 'em, too, but people lacking my sturdy, nay, indestructible constitution, are advised to heed the advice on the package and quit. Now that you can read about Camel cigarettes, that's almost as good as smoking them. Sherlock Holmes (yes, the one and only)
- Camel is one of the most famous trademarks of all time, and in this book you will get a chance to see some of the funny things, that the RJR-people have made to promote the cigarette.

2 comments about Pokemon Summer 2000 Collector's Value Guide.
- I liked this book because it was easy to find the cards I wanted to look at in a short amount of time. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because the prices were alittle high on the easy to get cards and in outer space for the rares and holo's. I find that its a great book though for a quick price check when I am buying or trading cards. I wish they would publish a updated book with all the new cards in it.
- This book tells you how much all the cards are including the new kinds of Pokemon.
