1. I love the thought of this book -- an art book for teachers who may not know much about art, but are planning on teaching art to their students. It's a great idea, and the book covers a great deal of information in a thin volume, from the principles of art, to the schools of artists and their works, to methods used to create art, to visiting the museum.

   The book also contains suggested projects for your elementary school art students, as well as jumping-off points for discussion and activity. I only wish the book had even more ideas, but perhaps that is another book!

   If you are a teacher who wants to teach art, but doesn't know much about it, and doesn't know where to begin, I suggest beginning with this book. It's a crash course not only in art, but in teaching art to elementary students and instilling a love of art within your students.

1. The Waters of Michigan combines gorgeous photography with text that blends science and poetry. Those of us living near the Great Lakes have been startled and frightened by the ecological changes in the Lakes over the last ten years. This book informs the story of those changes while reminding us visually of what is at stake. An important book for anyone who loves the Great Lakes.



2. I love this book! It a photo album of Michigan's magical waterways, and a beautifully written tribute. It is a book that you can read over and over and discover something new each time. It inspires you to want to go to your nearest body of water, and just take in its beauty. I am giving this book as a gift to family and friends!

1. If I have to look at a calendar all day, it might as well be pleasing to the eye, and this one is. In addition to honoring our heroes.



2. I gave this calendar to my 24 year old daughter. She says only half the guys on this calendar are "hot".



3. This is a great calender for those of you out there that like to see your men HOT.



4. Was bummed to hear this is supposed to be their last Calendar. The Firemen of New York should be proud these men are willing to do this to add money to special funds for them and their families. I think any city should do this, it is an easy way to help them bring in more money for their communities. Thank You FDNY for this awesome calendar.



5. It's a fun gift to give. I purchased it last year also and give them for gifts. If it is also a contribution, that is even better.

1. Talk about 'Judging a book by it's cover', DON'T. Out of all the photo's on this book, the best looking one is on the cover of this book. This photo's of this girls in this book were probably taken at a run down W****House which most of this women are not natural beauties. Some photo's on this book were badly taken and really does not describe the name of this book at all. I bought this book to see some natural beautiful LEGS on women, but the majority on this photo's were women with split teeth, fat elephant legs, and some of this women had minor bruises on their legs which the photographer tried to hide by having this women covered there bruises with black stockings. Again, 50% of this book has great photo's of good looking women, but if you want to see photo's of womens "LEGS" in this book, I would NOT recommend you to buy this book at all.



2. as a model I thought this book would be full of wonderful outstanding photos like the cover shot In my opinion the models and the photography wasnt that great :(



3. I throughly Enjoyed this Book !!!!!!!!!!!! Great Cover Pic !!!!!!!!! Being a Big Fan of Womens' Shapely Legs, especially when Covered in Nylons and wearing heels, this was a Great Book!!!!!!!!! Lots and lots of Pics of Pretty Ladies wearing Pantyhose, Stockings, Heels,barefoot and Bare-legged. A Must Read for All the Leg-Men and Nylon Guys out there.



4. This book contains professional nude/seminude photographs, primarily of homely and 'sturdy' looking models. The cover represents about ten percent of the book's content.



5. I've purchased much better photo books for alot less money. If you like pantyhose, stockings and garters, you'll love this book. If you like nude bare legs, you'll hate it. Also has some chunky and not at all attractive models.

1. If you are a photographer, photography buff, LTV retiree, history buff, or 4 year old boy, this is the book for you. As a photographer and history buff, I enjoyed pouring through this book and viewing all the photographs from back in the day. The author really seemed to care about the content of the book and included some amazing photographs from the LTV Collection. It had the feel of the old Farm Bureau Admin Photographers.
   I also loved reading the history behind the photos and the book. The writing was good and the history informational.
   My 4 year old son loved pouring through the photos in the book. The trains, boats, and steelyards were definitely attention catchers for him.
   And my favorite part of the book is the front cover. The dark ominous steel yard photo is perfect for such an amazing bit of our history here in Ohio. It also made me feel upset that so much of our steel industry is out sourced now. That so many people have lost their jobs etc.
   This was a great book and I definitely recommend it.

2. If you are a "Mushy Mommy" or just cherish every waking moment of being a Mom then this is a great little book for you. I bought one for myself and one as a baby shower gift for my sister-in-law, We love it.
