1. This is a great collection of short puppet scripts that are perfect for children's ministry. I use these scripts with my church every other week and I've been a part of some amazing results. If you are thinking of starting a puppet ministry team, this collection of scripts is a good way to start teaching the Word of God to other people. I have also purchased "Seasonal Puppet Scripts" which is similar to this book and is by "One Way Street".

1. You can never have enough photos of the Barrymores. Books like "Good Night Sweet Prince" are superb, but lack photos. This new coffee table book is almost entirely made up of photographs. It was made with the involvement of John Barrymore Jr, the spaced out hippy son of John Barrymore (and father of Drew.) There are lots of rare family photos, and a neat section on "Barrymoreabilia".

1. Having taken 2 of Professor Bondanella's courses, I probablyhave a bit of a bias towards this book. But I think I can say with allhonesty that anyone who finds Rossellini or neo-realism interesting will find this an extremely entertaining and informative book. The writing style is high-browed with wit and humor thrown in, as Rosselini was after all a very larger than life figure who was admired in no small part by the professor for his off-the-cuff approch to filmaking and his famous escipades with beautiful women such as Ingrid Bergman. Bondanella is intimately familiar with the study of neo-realism and the most widely acclaimed directors of this sub-genre of film. He shares his wealth of knowledge freely and warmly; overall an extremely satisfying read.

1. I loved the book Harpo Speaks so very much -- I've bought it for birthday presents for 2 different people so far. It's one of my top 10 favorite books. The first 80 - 100 pages are a little slow but after that? It takes off at a gallop and reads like fantastic fiction -- drama and comedy and heart -- and all of it actually happened! Well, out of love for this book, I wanted anything else by Harpo Marx and Rowland Barber and bought this book without much thought. Or research. And found, much to my chagrin, just like a previous reviewer noted, it's just THE FIRST FEW CHAPTERS OF HARPO SPEAKS!!! NOTHING NEW!!! I reiterate: BUY HARPO SPEAKS INSTEAD!!!



2. This may be an excerpt from a larger work, with which I'm unfamiliar. I have to judge it simply on what's before me. As one who thinks New York is the most civilized city on the planet though not as beautiful as Sydney, Australia, and who grew up, with millions of others, loving Harpo Marx, I loved this (little book). It is quite atmospheric and gives a very clear understanding of where the Marx Brothers got their drive and energy - Mother Minnie (stagestruck) and Father Frenchie (Housekeeper, tailor and cook). It is also a resounding example of the power of family. A very sweet and companiable edition by The Little Bookroom. Would make a very sweet gift as well.
