1. This is a great buy! I buy books as insparation and collection purposes and this book is so good its going to take time to go throught it. The book is huge and so are the pictures, big beautiful full page photos.



2. Must say ... wow ... it is one of the greatest photo albums I own. Beautiful fashion pictures (Dolce&Gabbana creations) of big shots of fashion photography in really big size. I am impressed very much. Every $ spend on it was worth of its price.



3. There are few books in which every page is a work of art in itself. This fashion album is such a book. Everyone should experience the artistry of each photographer and his subject. Awesome work!



4. The volume is fantastic in a number of ways: it's not a chronological compendium of photographs which is a plus in my opinion. Photos are arranged by photographer, which gives well deserved credit to those who bring fabulous images to life. I also like the fact that each photograph is captioned with the name of the publication, month and year, and the model's name. It gives the ladies credit, and reminds us of the fleeting nature of their work. Linda and the rest of the ueber-models don't need a caption, we all know who they are, but so many of the other ones have come and gone :) Be prepared to see about a 50/50 mix of color and BW photography. And enjoy photos from major European magazines, some of which select styles and types of photos that one may not find in the US. It's not just nudity, but a certain flair that is so european.
   In sum - get this wonderful book, it's well worth it.
   P.S. It weighs a ton, so don't lift the package too swiftly when it arrives at your door :)

1. The powerful graphics and engaging text make this book a "must have" for everyone who knows who Peter Plate is, who has listened to Nick Cave or been to a Fugazi show. Excellent in every way.



2. _You Don't Have To Fuck People Over To Survive_ is a gripping collection of images, comic strips, and visual history. Both political and deeply personal at the same time, Tobocman takes a stand on Mumia Abu Jamal, Israel's military-industrial complex, relationships and the world of bosses, bastards and bohemians that populate New York City. The words aren't as important though, one of Seth's panels would be as powerful pasted up on a shattered wall in Belfast or New Delhi as it would in your hands. And he's right you know, you don't have to fuck people over to survive. Or yourself.

1. Eye catching, interesting, imaginative, and inspiring. These are things that hold a young persons attention and give them the interest to pursue art. Colleen Carroll has collected a fine group of art pieces that does all of these, plus her writing of the art and the artists help young people see not only animals, but everything in a different way. She asks many questions to help a child think and imagine. I think this is a fantastic book that should be in every child's library,even if most of the artists in the book are dead..... oh...except for me! My painting is on page 32.

1. i was looking for cool erotic photography with this book. not necessarily all clean and pristine, in fact something edgy would have been welcome but it's just nudity and sex. the quality of the pictures is fine, the colors are fine the models are fine. but it is directed at men's magazine readers rather than art audience i think. i guess that was my bad. the two reviews quoted on the book cover are not surprisingly from Penthouse and Playboy, and i think that describes the book well. both are fine magazines for the type of material that they present, but quite dull when you browse page after page.



2. it took me some time to get my mind around this book, on one hand, top playboy style photos, the usual very posed with artaficial looks models involved in a pretty ordinery (for erotic photography scenes) and on the other hend, photos that looks almost randomly taken, photos of woman showing off their panties by accident or involved in real live scene (such as peeing in a public place and so on) it felt to me as if the level of subjects (not technicly, which is all superb by the way) and model's very uneven.

   then after trying to solve this anigma for a while, i notice that this was the main strangth of the book, it give a very full and deep range of approaches regurding women's body and women's sexuality. it doesn't escape mainstream or edgy ways of looking at it.

   unlike a lot of very cold fetish art, this book holds true admiration and fasination of women of all zises and ages (most of them are slim conventinaly beautiful young models, but some of them aren't) and there's a feel of true intimacy and realizm in a lot of those photo.
   it's very immpressive both in it's cover and zise and it's make a somwhat less ocnventional coffee table book, i reccomand it strongly




3. I disagree entirely with the other reviewer's comment that if you're a fan of Leg Show you'll find this boring. I get Leg Show exclusively for Roy Stuart's work and this 240 page book was anything but a letdown. Stuart is unique in what he does, challenging the viewer's notions about sexuality, gender, beauty, fantasy, and power. The women he photographs have -- like the settings he designs for them -- a sexually frazzled quality that makes one never want to look again at another Penthouse layout. If women want to know what men really fantasize about, look at Roy Stuart's photography. And, yes, many of the photos here have been seen before in Leg Show, but there are many that I've not seen.



4. if you are a fan of Leg Show Magazine then this book will be pretty boring for you. most of the pictures are the same that appeared in that magazine. i had expected to see fresh photo's or even some too risky for the periodical. Instead we are treated to some of the same photographs.

   overall i give it 3 stars. good if you like this sort of stuff but old hat if you have regullarly read leg show.

1. I had ordered two copies of this book
   One as a birthday gift, and the other for myself
   When they arrived both books had smeared ink on the cover
   I think it was the printing ink used
   Since these were the last two books in stock, they could not be replaced
   
   I feel that whoever ships out books should pull any books with defects, than notify the buyer,
   
   I decided against giving the book as a gift



2. Noguchi is truley a master. The most complete catalog of this artists work in clay. As a ceramic sculpture student, this book has given me a world of new insight ang inspiration. Noguchi has been an influence for me for some time and it is wonderful to have such a wonderful resource. Louise Allison Cort has done a remarkable job and I look forward to future catalogs.
