1 comments about Propaganda Postcards of World War II.
- This new (year 2000) 160 page book has more than 100 full color and 100 black and white, sharp, clear photos covering propaganda postcards from 20 countries. There's plenty of text explaining the many cards, which are grouped by: U.S., The Allies, The Axis Nations, and Neutral Nations. Valuies and a nice bibliography are provided. It offers a chronicle of the trying war years and gives a good insight into the history and actions of the times. The reader is given a provocative glimpse into the emotional climate of the people affected by the war, whether they were on the battlefield or on the production line. A great insight into the history of the times. A wonderful, fascinating addition to your library.

4 comments about Remember Pearl Harbor (collectibles).
- Not much to rave about regarding this book. It tackles a very narrow subcollecting area of homefront collecting and consequently there are not a lot of items to show. The good news is its inexpensive and does show some really uncommon if not rare pieces albeit mostly in B&W. The insert paper priceguide is a joke and I'd scrap that. The collectors who contributed the photos were asked to price their own items hence the prices are inaccurate secondary to bias. If youre gonna buy it, buy it for pics of some pretty hard to find items and a trip down memory lane. Not much else to say otherwise.
- The Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor compelled American into World War II and also resulted in a flood of items acknowledging this critical and pivotal event. Over the ensuing decades, a collector's market has sprung up based on the wealth of variety of materials from the period. These range from posters and placards to postcards and pins, from banners and stationary, to cigar wrappings and ladies underwear. Highly recommended for both nostalgic reminiscing and collector references, Remember Pearl Harbor Collectibles is an impressive, 88-page compendium surveying these special collectibles through a wealth of both black-and-white as well as full-color photographs.
- This is a great new 88 page book loaded with photos of every type of Pearl Harbor memorabilia. It features more than 300 large, sharp, black and white and over 80 full color photos. After the brief introduction, each page is full of memories. Major catetories include newspapers, decals and patches, postcards, gum cards and matchbooks, post cards, pennants, banners, letters, postal covers, 3-D items, jewelry, movies, books, magazines, plaques and plates, and more. Items are described as appropriate. A separate price guide identifies each item by page number and description, along with the current value. WW II collectible fans will enjoy seeing the featured items and the memories that go along with them. Add it to your collection.
- I recommend this book to all those that truly want to remember Pearl Harbor. Martin Jacobs and Frank Arian have collaborated to bring you the most fascinating array of "Remember Pearl Harbor" collectibles. From jewelry, flags, telegrams, posters, letters, figurines, newspapers, magazines, and much more. The book features over 300 detailed color and black and white photos with an item description and includes price values for all the collectibles. The book also features original photos of the actual bombing of Pearl Harbor and a summary of the actual events from December 7, 1941. I highly recommend this book for any World War II collector.

2 comments about Army Air Force and United States Air Force: Decorations, Medals, Ribbons, Badges and Insignia.
- I found my father's old Air Force medals in a box upstairs one day and had no clue what anything was. I ordered this book and it was the answer to all my problems. This book has extensive detail on each medal, badge and insignia. After spending a few days reading this book I was even able to put all of his medals together in a shadow box. If there is anyone who is in the same boat I was, this book will help you out tremendously.
- I have been a student of military history for as long as I can recall. I have never before found a more complete and more perfectly illustrated source for military service decorations and medals. The awarding criterion, histories, proper wear, order of prominence... all these details are covered, from the highest honor to the most basic of awards.
The color templates in the book are not to be missed, and I have to agree with the author, LTC Aldebol... If you can own only one Air Force book, this is the one to own!

2 comments about Civil War Re-Enactment.
- I would only recromend this book to fellow reenactors who like looking for comrades in the photos, or for people who enjoy real pictures of men in action. Though it could have gone into more detail. The only text in the book is captions for the pictures. I've tried to figure out which events are which, but have come up blank. The main reason that I purchased this book was because it had a picture of my 1st Sgt and Captain. This book is recromended for reenactors and fans of good photography.
- "Civil War Re-Enactment" is hardly informative about the Civil War or Re-enactments, nonetheless, it is a good book with excellent photographs. I purchased this book in hope of discovering the mechanics of certain uniforms or the workings of re-enactments, this book did not help me at all. But, I do not regret buying. If you want a book just for the pictures, this book is for you. If you want a book with any information whatsoever, look somewhere else.
