1 comments about The World in Miniature: Container Gardens and Dwellings in Far Eastern Religious Thought.
- I first read this book as part of a college course on East-Asian thought as is described through the art and architecture of China. This though is a fansastic book, full of wondrous illustrations and woodcuts. Perfect for those people interested in EastAsian thought, bonsai gardening, sinology/anthropology, an all around intriquing and very beautifull book. Hard to find, but is possibly available direct from the publisher.

1 comments about Landscape Perspective Drawing.
- There is a title on perspective drawing called "Perspective without Pain", acknowledging that trying to learn perspective drawing can be quite "painful", depending upon the ability of the teacher/author to explain the process with a minimum of technical jargon or over-detailed explanations. Trying to learn perspective from Dines was very painful. Dines loves to use $20 words where $5 words would do. He almost seems to be flashing his knowledge at you with his technical word usages. I am no nearer being able to draw perspective than I was before I bought this book. I am now searching for a different author who can teach me perspective in a simpler manner. There has to be an easier way!
