1 comments about Groovy Kitchen Designs for Collectors 1935-1965.
- The historical and company information is very useful and not easily obtainable elsewhere, but the choices of appliances are often butt-ugly. The great book on the subject is still to be written.

1 comments about French Kitchenware: The Art of Collectibles: Bowls Canisters Molds Pots Pans.
- I love decorating and am always searching for little pieces that lend a feel of authenticity to a room. With French country being so popular right now, I thought this book would provide some helpful information on what types of items I should watch for. -It does touch on this, showing examples of all sorts of items you'd find in an old French kitchen... But there is little more than a brief paragraph on each item and only a few photos to go along with it. -I truly hate to criticize. -I know that a lot of time and effort goes into a book... But this one just left me feeling disappointed. I was expecting a little more on the history of the items and it would have been nice to see at least one photo of a period French kitchen displaying some of the items featured in the book. This book is basically 93 pages of pictures. And most of them you can see just by enlarging the photo of the front cover. Furthermore, for being a book about "The Art of Collectibles", the author barely even touched on the collectibility of these items. -I still don't really know what the best items are to invest in, nor do I know how these things would've been displayed. I think if you are interested in French kitchenware/kitchens, you'd be better off shopping for something else.

3 comments about Miller's: Collecting Kitchenware.
- A great book on mostly British kitchenware, but also includes some German and French items, it offers not only details on pricing expectations but also some good ideas on what to collect.
- This is a very useful book to know how much my own collections are worth. But it is not for american anthique, only for french and british.
- Very helpful book for the beginner collector of kitchenware, especially old English kitchenware. Lots of colour photographs of the items the author talks about, which makes for quick identification. Wonderful book.

1 comments about Taking Tea With Clarice Cliff: A Celebration of Her Art Deco Teaware.
- As a collector of Clarice Cliff, I read almost anything relating to her. Clarice was way ahead of her time. She was an uneducated British girl in the 1920's who through hard work and brilliant ideas became a pioneer in art deco ceramics. Leonard Griffin is a master scholar of Clarice and this book was another one of his carefully reviewed study of her work.
Identifying her teaware as a celebration is absolutely true. Almost 80 years later, her work is more collectible than ever and it is fascinating to read how she evolved her designs and manufacturing ideas into the most beautiful teaware.
