1. The American Quarter Horse is a beautiful book. The photographer, David Stoecklein captures my imagination with his stunning photography. This book covers all aspects of the daily life of the Quarter Horse in the most gorgeous and interesting way. Becky Prunty, an experienced rancher, excellently describes the life of the Quarter Horse. Recently a friend came to visit me and picked up this book off my table and was so impressed by it, asked me to order her one.



2. This is a fantastic view of the working Quarter horse in the American west. Lots of working horses, broodmare bands, ranches , stallions, and all of the American Quarter Horse, which has grown to be as big an icon of the American west as the mustang. And yes, the Quarter horse is the single most popular breed in the USA and probably the world. A great addition to any coffee table and library.

1. As the director of an history museum I am often asked to review books and such was the case of War Horse. I was amazed at the scholarship that went into this wonderful book. Its told as a story of the U S Army Remount service which supplied a standard mount for the Cavalry but much more it tells the story of the development of a "using" kind of horse. One of the best parts of the book are the wonderful side bar stories and photos about everyone from George Patton to Francis the talking mule! The complete data on almost every aspect of breading the war horse will make this book a valuable reference. If you like horses or if you just want to know how one of our country's first mass produced war machines was developed this needs to be in your hands. 1. It took me forever to receive this book. Too bad they didn't send it to my neighbor. There was a huge lack of information that I was expecting to gain. I do not advise buying this book. Come on, can't someone write a great herbal book just for horses that a vet would back?

1. I've had this book for sometime now and have refered to it often. I had purchased a pattern for blankets but found the one made from the book instructions fit better than trying to alter the blanket pattern. Cool ideas for saddle pads and custom brow bands--would be useful if putting together team gear or as a Pony Club project.



2. I own three horses and when you start buying stuff for three horses you find out rather quickly how expensive it can be. With this book you will learn how easy it is to make your own horse blankets, polo wraps, and other usefull equipment. This book has helpful charts, included patterns as well as easy to follow step by step instructions. Even the beginner can save money and have fun making their own horse clothing.

1. We bought this book and our Farrier wanted it to use for youth demonstrations and to easier show owners what and why he is doing to their horses feet. Makes his life easier and they finally 'get' it. :)

1. I have purchased other trail books for colorado, but Sherry's book is by far the best! I can plan for a local day ride, or plan for a weekend get away (including trails, lodging, etc.) Can't wait for Book Number 2!

   Whether you are a horseman, hiker, biker or anybody who enjoys the great outdoors will love this book. This trails book is state wide, so if you want to go for 1 day or 1 week this book has it all and you will never run out of trails to ride, bike or hike.



4. Great idea and very well done! This is a beautiful, comprehensive, and intelligent guide book that features about 100 of the best trail rides in Colorado. With clear and concise details about degree of difficulty, elevation, dogs, whether or not shoes are recommended, fees, directions, maps, best season to go, and color photos, this book will make a great gift for all the people on my list who have horses and love to take them on trails. The photos are so great that I can picture myself there, especially the ones of places in Colorado I have already been. I love this book!
