1. I highly reccomend this book to any fan of the Red Wings and their Captain. Some parts will make you smile while other parts will make you teary-eyed, but all of it will make you very proud to be a Red Wings fan. And if you're not already a fan, this book just might make you into one. If you think all modern athletes are selfish and just in it for the money, this book will show you that there are still exceptions. Unfortunately, it was published before the Wings won their latest Cups, so you can't read about that in here, but that just makes you realize how special it is to win the Cup.



2. When I got the book the first night I could not put it down. To see what he has gone through in his carree, that was amazing. He is the greatest hockey player who ever lived, and now because of the chapionships that the team has won under his leadership, other are now FINALLY realizing it. He has done everything for this team and city, he has given us his heart, and in return we give him ours. He has captured our hearts and through this boook you can get an indepth look at the making of a SUPERSTAR!



3. I know this is so sappy, but I think the book is so sweet! I've read it many times since I bought it and it brings tears to my eyes to read the heartbreak Stevie Y suffered b/c he couldn't get achieve his goal of hoisting the Cup.

   It's a MUST have for all true Steve Yzerman fans and has some really nice pictures in it. :)

5. This book is great! Steve Yzerman has been the heart and soul of the Detroit Red Wings for so long. It's nice to finally get the chance to learn all about him. Some of us were just 9 years old when he came to the Wings and don't remember how small, akward, and young he was. Also, great pictures! But, one warning, the book was written before the 96-97 season so you won't see a Stanley Cup chapter in it and you'll hear lots of mentions of how Stevie still hasn't raised the chalice.

1. Inside Hockey by Gary Miles is 155 pages long and was published by Metro Books in 1998. This a non-fiction book about the history of the game of hockey. Inside Hockey tells about the game, its players, rules, and coaches.
   It tells great Stanley Cup stories such as the Penguins back to back wins in 91' and 92' and the great players that have played the game. Guys like Wayne Gretzky, Jarri Kurri, Sergei Federov, Terry Sawchuk, and Eric Lindros re just a few that talked about they're playing careers. Many other unheard stories re told by players and coaches.
   The nice thing about this book is it is very easy two read and very informative. If you have a strong passion for hockey you wont be able to put this book down for a second. Inside Hockey was a great book by Gary Miles. I haven't read a better book about hockey facts in my life and if you want to learn more about hockey and its history you should check out this book.



2. I am a huge and avid fan of this sport and received from my sister in law and my brother christmas 2004. Even though it is quite old and most players play for other teams now, the book is filled with cool anectdotes, tidbits and such. The photos are top of the line sports photography and stories. I love it and so will all hockey fans....



3. An excellent overview of the history and rules of the game of hockey. This walks through the creation of the game as well as biographies of the greatest players of all time. Even though the target of this book may be for the true fan, those who are merely interested in the game will find enjoyment as well.

1. my son loves this series because the author writes in real sports terms. Even though it is easy enough for a 1st or 2nd grader to read alone, it isn't baby-ish. We especially like the stories of players who beat the odds. A great series for your little hockey fan.

1. This book had great action pictures of Cujo. I really liked the tips Cujo gave for younger players to help them to improve their game. I also thought Curtis Joesph's schedule at the end of the book was neat too. Anyone who likes Cujo or the Toronto Maple Leafs should get this book.
