There are lost of color pictures that are well described. What it is not is a price catalog. This book is well worth the price even if you have some to the same information already.

- If you are interested in collecting depression glass or glass from the 40s, 50s and 60s, this is the guide you must own. Gene Florence is the most respected author in the field and has the book sales to prove it. The illustrations are great and the text is very basic -- it only gives you pricing information.
If you are beginner or are considering collecting depression/40s,50s,60s glass, you would do well to check out Florence's large hardbound books covering those topics. This pocket reference does not give you the background information you would need.

- I found this little book very helpful with a wealth of information, on collecting all types of Perfume Bottles including non-commercials (scent bottles without perfume) as well as commercials (bottles sold with perfume). It covers the art of perfume bottle making & some history from ancient times thru todays avant-garde creations such as: Pomanders, Victorian Vinaigrettes, all types of materials that were used, some famous name commerical houses, novelities & minis just to name a few areas. Each area is covered with nice photo's of the period perfume bottle. The is also a nice chapter on collecting advice including what to collect, tips, care & cleaning. This would be a great book for those who want to start collecting perfume bottles or those who are already collectors. This book should be added to your Perfume or Vanity Items library.
