1. This is an excellent reference with great photos and a section which shows the makers labels and signatures. Really useful book, recommend it for all collectors of Murano from the 1950's/60's.

1. The book is great if you like looking at alot of blurry pictures of marbles. I bought the book to help me clarify different types of marbles, but the pictures are useless. for me this book is a waste of money.

1. This is a lovely book. The pictures are superb and it covers very clearly the history of glass-making in Venice during the late 19th and early 20th century. Major names and companies (Salviati, Seguso, Barovier, Toso, but not Venini) and the main styles of glass are discussed. A must for anyone wanting to know more about the Italian glass of this period. I would have liked to see in index, though. It has the feel of a much more expensive book.

1. Marble identification is complicated. This book has excellent photos to assist in identification. The narrative pertaining to each type of marble is informative, quick, and to the point. This is a book to be used.

1. This is the first book that really concentrates on the subject matter. Not only does Lesley give you information on the factory but she also gives wonderful accounts of the different designers and artists. It's not so much a picture book as it is a helpful and informative reference that we need more of. So if your looking to education yourself on the many glass artists, companies, and designers this is one book I would highly recommend.
