1 comments about Ride from the Heart.
- As an avid reader and collector of books on classical riding and natural horsemanship, I have found a new mentor in Jenny Rolfe. She has effectively brought these two worlds together in a manner that is so easy to understand, enjoyable to read and worthy of a second and third study. I fell in love with her stallion Delfin and his magical story. The book is filled with gorgeous photos of Purebred Spanish Horses. She has managed to be classical without being "dry", natural without being "trendy", and spiritual without being too "out there". Her book has moved to my top 5 of all time. I am calling her a "natural classicist"!

- What a great product! I absolutely love it! It's beautifully crafted, so easy to use, and the final product, complete with all of my photos, is just perfect. I will definitely buy the dog scrapbook, as well! [It's called Ruff: A Dog's Life] I recommend it to everyone!
- This is the first scrapbook I have ever ordered. I really love it! I have been looking for a scrapbook to do for my cats for ages and I am so glad I discovered this one on Amazon! It is so easy to put together and a lot of fun. Very affordable, too! I only wish more pages were included or available for purchase! I am sure I will buy more, and I will purchase the dog version as well!
- I recently purchased this product for my daughter who just went off to college. I wanted to create something special to send to her feauturing her favorite kitty. This scrapbook was amazing! It took longer to find the pictures than it did to complete the scrapbook. This product comes highly recommended. She loved the finished product and thought I had spent hours making this book. Little did she know, it was very simple!

3 comments about Chakka.
- This is the sweetest book I've read, recounting the adventures of Bevie's human "pack" and their newest animal companion, a four-month-old wolf, and how he bonds with her husband and children, as well as their cat, 200-pound Great Danes, and chimpanzees, racoons, skunks, and other unusual animals. It's entertaining, but sweet and sad, recounting the losses that Chakka and his pack had.
- When I started to read the book, I knew little about wolves. This book showed that wolves are not those bad animals at all. I've learned a lot about the character of wolves by this book. The book is verry nice to read
- This is one of my FAVORITE books! It was very touching. This book shows that wolves aren't blood thirsty monsters, but are just as caring as compassionate as humans can be. Through the example of Chakka, we can see how much wolves care for their "pack", their intelligence, loyalty, and beauty. After reading this book I hope to read Chakka: My Wolf Child also.

2 comments about Make Your Own Horse Clothing.
- I've had this book for sometime now and have refered to it often. I had purchased a pattern for blankets but found the one made from the book instructions fit better than trying to alter the blanket pattern. Cool ideas for saddle pads and custom brow bands--would be useful if putting together team gear or as a Pony Club project.
- I own three horses and when you start buying stuff for three horses you find out rather quickly how expensive it can be. With this book you will learn how easy it is to make your own horse blankets, polo wraps, and other usefull equipment. This book has helpful charts, included patterns as well as easy to follow step by step instructions. Even the beginner can save money and have fun making their own horse clothing.

2 comments about The Voice of the Dolphins: And Other Stories (Stanford Nuclear Age Series).
- Leo Szilard wrote the famous letter to Franklin Roosevelt in 1939, signed by Albert Einstein, urging development of nuclear weapons when he thought the Nazis were already underway on such a program. Once it became clear, however, that Hitler was nowhere near getting one Szilard became one of the foremost opponents of their use. In 1945 he wrote the Szilard Petition, signed by 155 Los Alamos scientists, urging Truman to demonstrate the A-bomb on an uninhabited atoll rather than use it in war. He was also a signatory to the Franck Report that urged the same thing.
After the war, with the government classifying "Top Secret" almost everything relating to Los Alamos, and Senator McCarthy publicly accusing anyone pro-peace of being a "Communist sympathizer," it was very difficult for Szilard to get his pacifist views heard. He was greatly troubled by the Cold War, which he foresaw and correctly predicted would be disastrous. His clever solution was to embed his views in a series of short stories, which are not only amusing tales in themselves but gain esteem when you realize why they had to be written.
The first story, written in 1961 following John C. Lilly's pioneering research, starts with the idea that dolphins are discovered to be more intelligent than man and they begin dominating human politics through an uneasy alliance. In this story he not only anticipates the politics of the Cold War but also the whole era of petro-diplomacy which is still ongoing.
The other stories, dating back to 1949, are similarly thought-provoking. Szilard was a very smart man, and it's a shame his views were not more widely respected and followed in his own time.
- He's the world-class physicist who got Einstein to send a letter to Roosevelt about building a Bomb before the Nazis. He's also a world-class writer. These short stories are superb; prove one doesn't need to lead the life of a writer to write magnificently. A great read on a rainy night. Transparent and stylish, these stories will last.

1 comments about Guide to Owning a Collie: Puppy Care, Health, Feeding, Training, Showing, Breed Standard (Re Dog Series).
- This was a quick read and provided a reasonable overview of collie ownership. This would provide excellent background for someone just beginning the dog search and wondering about breed history, general care, and an overview of temperament, behaviors, etc.
However, if you're looking for more of the ins and outs of dog ownership, I would suggest something with a little more content.

2 comments about Guinea Pig: An Owner's Guide to a Happy Healthy Pet.
- This book covers all aspects of guinea pig ownership, and presents it in an easy to read, easy to find what you're looking for way. There are differnt sections for indoor and outdoor guinea pigs, so however you are going to keep your pig you get information how to in this book. Then there are sections to help you understand the guinea pigs lauguage and body launguage, showing, breeds of piggies and alot of other things. There is a list of common health problems that guinea pigs have with descriptions of the symptoms. One thing I found very helpfull was the section on how to introduce a guinea pig to other pets, and how to potty train them.
I read this book over and over again not just for the information but also for the nice pictures and the great way that a guinea pigs wonderful personality that guinea pigs have. If you have a guinea pig you should have this book.
- FINALLY!!! A book devoted to the joys of pet guinea pigs--not breeding fuzz factories, not commercial commodities, but COMPANIONS! Proves guinea pigs are playful and fun--they don't just sit there. A joy to read--especially for those of us who remember Audrey when she was the editor of Horse Illustrated. Engaging, informative, helpful text written by a true lover of animals. The illustrations are also lavish, helpful, at times hysterical and heavy on cute. Also has a big listing of books, clubs and a tiny website listing--still, very accurate. The only quibbles are that housing piggies outdoors is information grudgingly given as Audrey advocates keeping them indoors. No information about pregancy and raising young is to be found, as she advocates letting breeders do that. However, so many people find that their new piggie just happens to be pregnant, not due to any planned breeding, that this information is needed for those caring piggy slaves who have no idea what to expect. Still, quibbles aside, a must have book for those who love guinea pigs.
