- This book has some nice ideas for special occasions. You can either duplicate what you see, or pick and choose from the pictures.. It is a good guide to have when you run out of ideas or don't feel the creativity.
- This is a beautiful pictureque coffee table book. However, the book falls short in showing you how to "design" new and innovative flower arrangements. I wanted to know how to properly place/arrange flowers at an angle in a vase like his photos. All you see are the pictures, but no directions on how to accomplish this feat. Perhaps my expectations were too high based on previous reviews. I was expecting more illustrative designs. But, if you enjoy looking at beautiful flowers arrangments, this book is for you.
- This book is filled with beautiful imagery and stunning techniques. Michael George is one of New York City's greatest innovators in floral design, with clients such as Vera Wang, Gucci, Prada and many more. His technique can be practiced from this book. This is for those who enjoy clean contemporary looks. If you're looking to create the 1-800 flowers cupcake bouquet, or anything else that's overdone and tacky, this book is not for you...
- This book is fantastic! Informative, step by step instruction, -- too many wonderful things about the book to list here!
- I was surprised to see another reviewer calling the book pedestrian and not cutting-edge. I would say quite the opposite. I have a few other flower arranging books and I think this one is by far the most modern and stylish. The arrangements are very minimalist but that's what makes them so stunning and impactful. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone interested in flowers and flower arranging.

5 comments about Wedding Bouquets: Over 300 Designs for Every Bride.
- This is a very pretty wedding bouquet book. Pictures are colorful with great ideas. This will be an asset for my wedding flower business.
- Exactly what I was looking for and more.
Arrived as described, and in even better condition! BEAUTIFUL book!
I was very happy with the product!!!!
- A good building block for the bride and florist to get ideas of colour schemes and styles the bride might like. I took my copy into to Tafe(Technical and Further Education) and ended up ordering another three copys for fellow students.
- This book has such wonderful colored pictures and each picture is close up so you can see all the beautiful details... This is a must have for anyone having a wedding or even a florist to let their bride look through for ideas...
- Each section of this book is categorized by colors, starting with white, ivory and cream, then yellow, then peach and orange, then red, then pink, then lilac and purple, and finally mixed and unusual. I knew my colors right off the bat but I still was inspired by every page. It's only real flaw is it's size, which once you get it and look through it, doesn't create that much of an issue. Not only does it give you flower ideas but also a variety of ways to create a handle and tie the bouquet. A good book for a bride who is doing all the arranging, like I am, or just brainstorming ideas with her florist.

- As an art minor, I dabble in flower arranging but would possible consider doing this when I retire from teaching. This book really provides so much information. It is a complete source of information.I recommend it for anyone with any interest along these lines.
- This is a great book for anyone interested in floral design. It is thorough and is appropriate for beginners and professionals alike.
- I am a flower-arranging novice and this book was recommended to me by someone who has run (for a couple of decades) one of the many NAFAS branches dedicated to flower arranging, after I complained that all the flower books from my library basically just had many pretty pictures that didn't really support me in creating good arrangements for myself, based on bunches I could get at the supermarket. I wanted a flower arranging book with principles and theories, a really good teaching book.
I was more than impressed with this one: over two dozen classic and modern design principles for bigger arrangements plus easy-to-follow smaller ideas, examples of show-work, equipment and techniques, how to condition the plant material (vital if you want your arrangement to continue looking good for more than a couple of days), and much more. If you only want one book on flower arranging, this is it. For a collection, this is a must-add or a wonderful starting point.
- An absolute must-have for any aspiring floral artist. Contains all the information you could ever need, with clear text and great colour photos.

- Thid book is really good. It has a lot of pages with arrangements with dried and live flowers among other things. Almost every page teaches or shows how to make something wonderful using different styles, techniques, and different flowers. You really get your money's worth with this book.
- The item was just as described and the book was just what I was looking for. Shipment was a little slow, but overall I am very satisfied.
- This book was recommend to members of our flower guild. It is a reasonably-priced, handy guide to flower arranging. There are lots of different ideas: foam based, vase, potted plants, large arrangements, posies, boutonnieres, swags and dried arrangements. Each arrangement comes with a specific materials list and complete arrangement directions. I'm fairly new to flower arranging and love this book.
- enjoyed book was very helpful just wished for more information. Seemed a little outdated and reasources limited.
- When you've been in this business for a while, the floral design business that is, nothing really shocks you anymore.
This is a decent coffee table book, nice pictures but nothing more really. It can not teach you anything, it can not give any ideas that you haven't already seen somewhere else.

5 comments about 4000 Flower & Plant Motifs: A Sourcebook.
- I picked this book up after seeing a copy my friend had. Truly an awesome collection of motifs that encourage my journaling, painting, beadwork, and just general doodling. Looking foward to using it for inspiration in my computer photo-shop ideas, transparencies, etc., as well. HUGE book, and a steal for the price.
- It's true that there are many different motifs in the book but the drawings are very approximate, without even respecting the symmetry and the geometry of the objects.
- I'm an avid embroiderer, always looking for the perfect design to embellish a cardigan or pillowtop. McCallum's collection offers plenty of ideas and serves as a springboard for some of my own. I imagine this would be an equally essential tool for many other types of hobbyists. This one is nice just to leaf through, too -- it's very well arranged. I'm tempted to order his other books right away, but there's plenty to work with right here.
- My wife asked for this for her birthday. She absolutely loves it. So much so that we recently purchased 7 more as gifts for her friends in different crafting groups. She insists that 4000 Flower and Plant Motifs has inspired her with tons of quilting/craft ideas. This book is a great gift.
Sam Hendricks, author of "Fantasy Football Guidebook: Your Comrehensive Guide to Playing Fantasy Football" and "Fantasy Football Almanac"
- I love this book for the quilting designs it inspires. If you're stuck for ideas, open McCallum's book and start drawing.

5 comments about The Knot Book of Wedding Flowers.
- I did not recieve this book. The seller said amazon gave the wrong mailing address, but I recieved the other book on the same order. I am out the cost of my shipping and did not recieve my purchase.
- The book is really helpful. It provides you basic information about flowers: names, colours, seasons, price, meaning.... After the first chapter of introduction to flowers, you will come to how to prepare your own wedding floral arrangement. (I am at this part so could not provide any further description about the book but overall I found all what I've read is very interesting and helpful).
The book comes with high quality images printed on high quality paper, so it's very enjoyable. Reading the book doesnt require you to read chapters through chapters; you can just start/stop anywhere you like. It's a good book for people who are interested in flowers and wedding floral arrangement. It's also good to read just for leisure.
- The first part of the book provides a list of favoured wedding flowers (with photos), and it gives a basic summary on their characteristics, seasonal availability and cost. The second part of the book contains a few DIY tips (not a lot) and a small gallery of centerpiece/bouquet designs, grouped by colors and themes.
The information in this book can be helpful for brides-to-be who are unfamiliar with the names of flowers, or what certain flowers look like. I personally think that the design examples are quite simple and unintimidating (ie. not flashy or over the top), and thus this book will be useful for brides who are looking for inspirations along those lines.
I recommend this book as a preliminary reference and it's a good start before meeting with your florist to discuss wedding flowers.
- I didn't find this book very exciting. I looked through it and there's really nothing in it that I can use. I was looking for ideas for my wedding bouquet and I really got NONE.
- If you are looking for some floral tips and arrangement ideas, this book will help you with those ideas. However, if you are looking for an instructional book on how to make arrangements yourself, this book doesn't give enough information on this. (Yes, there is a small section in the book about making them yourself--but does not tell you how to make certain ones shown in the book). I would like a more informational--how-to-make boquet book. I might just have to write one myself!

5 comments about Art of Floral Arranging, The: Learning from the Master Florists at Flower School New York.
- This book is beautiful and her school is fabulous. Treat yourself to both! And buy lots of flowers when you create an arrangement...it's the only way to have a lush look, even when the final product is small.
- Exactly what I was looking for and more.
Arrived as described, and in even better condition! BEAUTIFUL book!
I was very happy with the product!!!!
- While this was an interesting book, it is not for the novice floral arranger. I expected this to be a step by step recipe for simple arrangements. It is more of a "how to take it to the next level" for seasoned designers.
- This book is lovely to look at and wonderful for visual ideas with step-by-step instructions on how to create those arrangements pictured. Not an overview of styles and mechanics.
- I got this book because it was cheap and the front picture really attracted me. There weren't very many arrangements inside and some of the arrangements were too big and required too many flowers. It does have tips and techniques but I was really looking for pictures of arrangements. The condition of the book was really good.

- This is a great book on ribbonwork. The diagrams are easy to follow and the
chapters are well organized. I've made some great arrangements. Loved the book!
- Instructions for making ribbon flowers are easy to follow with many diagrams and written instructions. Photographs give ideas for many flowers and ribbon types.
- Helen Gibb is a master of Ribbonwork and does a superb job of providing great instructions in this book. The binding allows the book to lie flat so that both hands are available to work on the techniques. The projects are lovely, romantic and useful.
- My wife is very happy with the book and the service was excellent. Well packaged, prompt overseas delivery to Australia, a perfect transaction
- highly recommended. beautiful photos - clear instructions - gorgeous designs. As a vintage ribbon work lover, this book has it all.

5 comments about Garden Bouquets and Beyond: Creating Wreaths, Garlands, and More in Every Garden Season.
- I was given this beautiful book recently and I have been loving the photos. The idea is to create simple and beautiful arrangements using local seasonal flowers. This book has inspired me to get back to this hobby I love just in time for spring. I highly recommend for beginners and the more seasoned flower lovers out there. I'm totally going to check out her other books.
- Beatifully photographed, and thoughtfully presented, this book makes an excellent gift to those whose love of craft is wed to their love of flowers and the earth's bounty.
- I already own Suzy Bales's "Garden Parties" and was thrilled to see she had published another book! "Garden Bouquets & Beyond" teaches readers how to weave foliage, seasonal, and organic materials into their floral arrangements. This book has something to teach everyone--from novice to seasoned gardeners. The instructions are easy-to-follow and will help you to create and prolong the life of your bouquets, wreaths, and garlands.
Love this book! Suzy Bales has done it again!
- I've always wanted someone to show me how to make beautiful flower arrangements from what's available in the garden -- instead of from some art director's wish list. Her approach is easy to follow and down-to-earth. Love it!!!
- There are so many smart, creative ideas in here. I definitely recommend this book.
