1. This book was given to me when I was 12. It helped form a strong base of gun safety for me when I was young. A must have for beginning marksmen and hunters.
   Over 200 pages of information on use, safety, cleaning, different styles of guns, and much more.

1. Many people and guns missing,Jeff Cooper,George A. Custer, Gen. George Patton, Charlton Heston, Robert Stack, Lee Marvin, Clint Eastwood and many others.
   I lost my money



2. This book is about 1/3 on old gunfighters of the old west and 2/3 on the "B" Western cowboys. It is interesting to read but you should realize it is mostly movies.



3. This is the most disappointing book I have read in a long time. There is very little about the actual guns of the gunfighters and the few facts presented are very general and broad brush. The author obviously is a fan of old Hollywood westerns as half of his "gunfighters" are in fact only Hollywood actors! He also includes several modern gun magazine writers. Worse yet, many of the noteable real western gunfighters are ignored. The editing is also poor. Several photos of the same gun appear in more than one place in the book. Spend your money elsewhere.

5. This volume by noted gun writer Doc O'Meara is a fun and informative work for fans of the Westeren, Gun Buffs and anybody who enjoyed Saturday shoot em ups. The writing is bright and jaunty, like the subject matter. Well documented, and a treasure trove of beautiful photographs of the Gunfighters and their tools of the trade. A good reference volume sure to attract attention, the books suceeds on all levels.

1. This is a very comprehensive book and contains information on almost every gun ever made I bet. Sometimes the information is little sparse but at least it gives you a bit of technical data to allow you to start researching elsewhere. I highly recommend this book as a reference source.



2. This catalog is best source of info for the gun collector or enthusiast. Amazon provides the best price and service for book purchases.



3. This book is pretty informative. It goes indepth into the history of individual firearms as well as giving a price range per respective condition. Only thing they don't tell you is that many standard military weapons are not included in this edition.
   
   Inorder to evaluate those you have to purchase the Standard Catalog of Military Firearms.
   
   If you aren't so much interested in Military firearms then this is the book for you.

1. Ever since shooting a Winchester slide-action rifle in a shooting gallery, it has been my dream to own such a rifle. After many, many years, I finally came across a used Winchester Model 61 that I could buy. A large part of the enjoyment, however, comes from reading up on the history of this type of weapon. I find it fascinating to be able to establish the year the rifle was made and to check whether all the parts are authentic because they were made in the same time-frame.

1. This book is very finely done! The pictures are excellent, the information is very educational.



2. Danial Fox has written a very informative book that I would highly recommend to anyone intrested in Great Plains arrowheads.I found the section on lithic materials very helpful and the pictures of artifacts fantastic. It's packed cover to cover with good information.
