2. Accept no imitations--rock tease is the real deal. I had to buy a second copy because mine was getting so worn from use. The pictures are great, the t-shirts are awesome, and it's clear that this sexy book's authors not only know what they're talking about, but treat the whole thing as a labor of love. That said, I love this book, my friends love this book, my neighbors all have copies, and you should too: it's just that good.



3. This book is a great resource for the rock t-shirt afficionado and the casual fan alike. Fantastic photos of hundreds of rock's most interesting tees. The text details the t-shirts' designs and surveys the major trends in rock tees from the 1950's through the 1990's. I bought this book for myself and then ordered it for several friends. I highly recommend it for any rock or fashion fan!



4. Whether you're a fan of art, vintage tees, or rock-and-roll, Rock Tease is a cool book for any collection.
   
   It's smart and well written, without being pretentious. The authors do a great job of telling the story behind the rise and progression of rock t-shirts with interviews and insider accounts about this iconic and understudied art form.
   
   There is a diverse and colorful range of tees featured in this book (chances are you'll find one from your favorite band!), with interesting explanations and side-notes describing the tees on each page.
   
   I bought a copy for myself and will be getting a few more to give for gifts!



5. Very cool. A must have for anybody who loves rock and roll memorabilia and a delight for fans of rock in general. The book takes a funny yet sophisticated look at the history, design and significance of rock t-shirts and even throws in some interviews with the gurus of rock tees. Most important the book is stocked with excellent pictures of the coolest, most bizarre and funkiest rock tees. As the book says "Everything you need to know about rock and roll is writ large on rock T-shirts." And everything you want to know about rock T-shirts is writ large in this book.

1. I was on the hunt for fascinating tribal stories and I came across this book put together by Marie Meade. Not only did it contain beautiful photography, but the stories that went with the traditional masks were well traslated and I was able to make more sense of the Yup-ik tribes and their ancient traditions. To see the dances in person is one thing that the book may never be able to match, but to read the book and then see the dance lets you read into the stories and become part of them. Great source!

1. The only words must be "Absolutely Fabulous". Layout is gorgeous AND it's readable which is more than can be said for many books of this kind. No lover of fashion or "beaux livres" should be without it !

1. I bought this book/CD-ROM intending to use the patterns in my graphic design work. I had assumed (wrongly) that these images would be permission-free. After receiving the book I learned that use of Agile Rabbit Editions' graphics in a professional capacity requires permission from the publisher. I have found this permission process takes several days--a major problem when working under a short deadline. Depending on the usage, there may also be a fee in addition to the initial cost of the book. If you want a ready-to-use copyright-free graphic resource, then you're better off sticking with the books put out by Dover Publishing.
