1. Folks, let's make this nice and simple, Beckett Price Guides are the most accepted price guides in the world PERIOD No other racing price guide even comes close to the popularity of Beckett. Collectors the WORLD over look enthusiastically for each new Beckett release. As for this book, I dare say you will not find another publication that covers its listings in greater detail. This book lists thousands of cards and hundreds of die-cast car values. With the card listings, many sets are given a value along with vital information about each one. Then many sets are broken down into listings for each individual card and a value placed on each card. There's listings for vintage sets as well as some of the more popular ones. Photos are included as well as special notations about things like error cards, rare subsets and the like. This guide will be a big help to anyone interested in the racing hobby. Beckett guides are the ONLY ones I currently use.



2. Soon after the release of the Beckett Racing Price Guide, the Beckett Racing & Motorsports Marketplace monthly magazine drastically reduced the book value of most trading cards. In doing so, Beckett rendered their own Beckett Racing Price Guide useless. The racing trading card enthusiast would be better off subscribing to the monthly magazine.



3. Beckett Price Guides have been around forever. With only the third edition printed specifically for auto racing cards, this has quickly become the only guide you'll need to evaluate your entire collection!



4. Dr. Beckett has done it again! The Beckett Racing Guide #3 is a must for all Racing and Die-cast collectors. The book has listings by card and die-cast manufactors, by years and has a alphbetical listing for all of the drivers. As a card collector I rate this book very high because it is very imporant to know the card number, year printed and it gives two price listings on the condition of the card. A+++

1 comments about British Teenage Dolls: 1956-1984.

1. This book is a good starting place but has little detail. None of the dolls are covered completely and many of the dolls are wearing knock off clothing instead of outfits from the original companies. Most of the dolls are either wearing knock off shoes or no shoes at all with no explanation that the items are not original. This book may be useful for the beginning collector but no help to the intermediate and advanced collector.
   
   Dolls like Mary Quant's Daisy have one of the 5 booklets shown and about 10 of the over 300 outfits that were produced. Most of the information is from the packages shown.
   
   This is a fascinating subject but do not expect much information from this book if you are planning to collect indepth. Hopefully books with more detail will be available soon. If you are interested in a full coverage of the British Pippa doll check out "Pippa & Her World". A detailed book about all 1970s 9" (22cm) fashion dolls (Daisy, Peggy, Disco Girls, Wanda, Jenny Jones and many more) will be available soon from the same author as the Pippa book. These dolls are just a exciting and stylish as the 1970s.

1. This book provides some basic information about several action figure lines. On the plus side, this book does provide some information and pictures on a few lines that may be hard to find elsewhere (i.e., Big Jim and The Six Million Dollar Man). On the minus side, there is no mention of Star Wars figures, and very little about Mego figures. Further, most of the information that is presented is easily found elsewhere. In short, there are much better books out there about both action figures in general (one of my favorites being "Tomart's Encyclopedia of Action Figures: The 1001 Most Popular Collectibles of All Time"), and about specific action figure lines (i.e., just Star Wars, just GI Joe, just Mego, just Captain Action, etc.). To be fair, I did enjoy going through this book once, I just haven't found a need to open it again since.



2. This 2nd edition, 160 page softbound book contains over 400 very large, full color, sharp photos of every type of action figure imagineable. It covers GI Joe, action figures from other countries, Capt. Action, Ken Doll and Friends, Marx, including Johnny West, Vikings and Knights, Buddy Charlie, and Stoney, Kenner, including Boy Scouts and Six Million Dollar Man, Big Jim, Man from U.N.C.L.E., and much more. The guide also includes boxes and accessories. A useful, fun reference for this collectible. Values shown are 1998.

1. I like this book because it shows very old dolls that you don't see alot. It has alot of pictures and is very nice for a coffee
