I wanted to find out what Barbies were around when I was a kid in the 80's, and this book was a find! Not only does it include all dolls, gift sets, fashions and other barbie products put out during 1981 - 1991, but also has color photos of each and every product as well as values for each item (NRFB). So if you have been looking for a book which covers this decade of dolls, buy this one now!!

1. This a must have for any doll collector of modern dolls. There are over 50 doll artists mentioned with a brief history of their work. For each artist mentioned there is at least one photo of their dolls. There also is The World's Most Beautiful Dolls Volume II as a great follow-up edition.

1. This book was very helpful in pricing several dolls that I was interested in buying. Without this resource, I would have paid too much.



2. I got this for my daughter who collects dolls, especially Madame Alexander dolls. She uses the book frequently and likes it very much.
   I recommend it although it doesn't have every doll made by Madame Alexander.



3. Linda Crowsey's MADAME ALEXANDER: 2007 COLLECTOR'S DOLLS PRICE GUIDE #32 is an updated collector's price guide no Madame Alexander doll collector should miss. It packs in an A-Z listing of the dolls and their latest values, and while it includes some small color photos, its value lies in the latest updated prices collectors need to make informed buying and selling decisions.

1. I think Jan Foulke is the leading authority on doll collecting. This is a great book for beginners. It gives great advice on what to look for in a quality doll. The dolls condition can be just as important as its rarity etc... This book is not thick, but has great tips and advice. I would recommended any book by Jan Foulke. She also sells dolls on Ebay.
