2 comments about Trading Currency Cross Rates: Proven Trading Strategies from a Leading International Currency Trader and a Noted Expert on Futures and Options (Wiley Trader's Exchange).

  1. Good book for a feel on cross-rates. Unfortunately written before the advent of the EURO, therefore partially osolete nowadays.

  2. There are better books out there to spend your money on. The copy I have was printed in 1993 and a lot of things have changed since this first edition.

It is useless for individual traders.

You would be better off to buy John Murphy's books; Mark Douglas' books and John L. Person's book.

    Just my humble opinion.

1 comments about Commodity Derivatives: Markets and Applications (The Wiley Finance Series).

  1. This book is a nice overview of over-the-counter traded products in the Energy and Commodity markets. This book is organized like a Wall St primer, it starts with the overview of the particular market fundamentals and then gives examples of some derivatives related to the specific market. Unlike most books on derivatives this book is not very quantitative, but provides a good intro to the growing world of Energy and Commodity derivatives.

3 comments about How to Make Money Trading Stocks and Commodities: Finally...A Sensible Approach for the Intelligent Investor.

  1. Nothing to say but the best book on technical analysis I've read , thank you the author .

  2. I've read over 100 books on trading, and have to say, this is the best intro to technical analysis I've seen. You can start without any knowledge of technical analysis, and be competent to plan your own trades by the end of this easy-read.

Let me put it this way, when my mother expressed an interest in learning more about investing, I bought this book for her.

  3. George Sranko's approach to trading is one of the best & easiest to comprehend that this reviewer has ever had the pleasure to study. Well written, direct & to the point, the author has a knack of making the most complex situations readily absorbable & uncomplicated.

5 comments about Viewpoints of a Commodity Trader.

  1. This is a series of brief pep talks for traders. I don't know how useful they are. I found it interesting to read, it's a simple, easy book, but didn't necessarily tell me anything I don't already know. I suppose it may help someone who's emotional state while trading is off kilter. It may help novices although I subscribe to the opinion that experience is really the only teacher. It may also work as a refresher course for an experienced trader who feels like they're losing their knack. It certainly doesn't hurt to read. I mean it doesn't give any bad advice.

  2. Dozens of two page "chapters", basically trading maxims, cliches and rules and a small description of what and what not to do. Nothing special.

  3. This is a great read if you like to read stories of traders. The book is filled with lots of tales that traders or would be traders will find both true and useful. The second thing is that the book stands the test of time in that it was written years ago. But, it is not a how to book, so if that is what you want you will have to look elsewhere.

  4. The books collection of short stories, is good for the begining trader, but doesn't solve the age old questions of how to trade. it is no Dancing With Lions, by trader X

  5. I originally bought this book because a trading advisor recommended it. Now it has become a cherished companion. In it are a number of short chapters covering a range of issues that are germain to the business of trading. Each of the chapters a suitable for a thought for the day, a quick pick me up, or a meditaion. A real goldmine for the futures trader.
