1 comments about Canadian Colonial Tokens (2nd Edition) - The Charlton Standard Catalogue.
- The third edition of The Charlton Standard Catalogue of Canadian Colonial Tokens provides an invaluable overview of Canadian colonial tokens from 1794-1867. The photographs and detailed descriptions of major token types are helpful for beginning collectors and experienced collectors alike. The bibliography and cross references are great resources for collectors who want more detailed information on specific topics within the Canadian colonial token series. The legend index is helpful for quickly identifying tokens and finding their full descriptions in the catalogue.
This third edition corrects some errors from the second edition and simplifies the numbering of the ships colonies and commerce tokens of Prince Edward Island. The catalogue now includes prices realized at auction for selected rare tokens.

1 comments about Near Eastern Seals (Interpreting the Past Series).
- Collon's book provides an excellent overview of Near Eastern Seals. A useful chronology for both stamp and cylinder seals is provided, as well as information on materials, designs, and stone-cutting techniques. The majority of the photographs and text focus on cylinder seals, but a few stamp seals are also included.

1 comments about What every silver dollar buyer should know.
- This book is most suitable for the investor willing to spend large sums for high grade Morgan and Peace dollars. The average collector probably will not get much useful information out of the book.
In the section on grading standards, only mint state grading standards were listed; and then several mint state standards were omitted, such as mint state MS-64, MS-66 and MS-68. Grades of MS-69 and MS-70 were listed, but if one did find a coin in those grades, the price would probably be way out of reach. This book was written in 1984 and a lot of the specific coin information is outdated. A second updated edition would be useful for an investor.

5 comments about Standard Catalog of World Gold Coins.
- 5 STARS -- If you are familiar with Chester L. Krause publications Standard Catalogue Of World Coins Series, those books share its style and contents with the Encyclopedia of World Gold Coins, the same format and and easy to use information on every minted gold, platinum, and palladium coin. coins, actual size photos are in B&W but is missing complete important sections like whole countries as in Netherlands, and segments as in Australian Sovereigns, 1500's???. You can find missing information within the 4 now 5 volumes of Standard Catalog Of World Coins 1600-2005.
This volume is easy to use contains a wealth of information and excellent organization seldom found in other books.
***** 5 STARS for content and easy of use.
it has some shortcomings but is an invaluable resource.
See the following for further Numismatic information:
Coins of England and the United Kingdom
2008 Guide Book of Us Coins Redbook (Guide Book of United States Coins) (Guide Book of United States Coins)
Encyclopedia of U.S. Gold Coins: 1795 - 1933, Circulating, Proof, Commemorative, and Pattern Issues
How the experts buy and sell gold bullion, gold stocks, & gold coins
Us Gold Counterfeit Detection Guide (Official Whitman Guidebook)
- Probably the only reference book for modern golden coins. Useful to discover what coins have a numismatic value and not only a value related to gold content.
- A must have book for every student and collector of world gold coins from the 1600's on. I agree that for research prior to the 1600's one needs Friedbergs "Gold Coins of the World" . As a professional coin dealer I recommend both of these books to customers who are interested in learing about and collecting world gold coins.
- GREAT BOOK, HOWEVER, COMPLETELY FORGOT TO MENTION ANY COINS FROM THE NETHERLANDS, IE: KINGDOM OF THE NETHERLANDS-1815-DATE.
- A complete guide, perfect for basic information about any specific coin around the world.

4 comments about The Comprehensive U.S. Silver Dollar Encyclopedia.
- A lot of fluff, but the date by date evaluation of Morgans can't be beat. Also enjoyed articles by Wayne Miller and Harlan White...2 legends in the dollar field.
- Bought this massive work this summer. Yes, very comprehensive. No Doubt Mr. Highfull is a very nice man and has a great family. Over 100 pages and photo's of him and his wife traveling all over the world is very nice, but what has it got to do with American Silver Dollars? Family Album or Encyclopedia?
- Talk about EVERYTHING you want to know about silver dollars! Wow! This book is great, especially the sections that I wrote (he said modestly). Seriously, you'll learn a lot about silver dollars and the coin business. A++
- This book is a monumental work, discussing not only the Silver Dollar issues but giving a history of that branch of numismatics. Various chapters have been contributed by well known numismatists, including an article by Walter Breen on the 1851-O Proof Silver Dollar, Q. David Bowers' story of the market and hobby, and several articles by Wayne Miller, including discussions on branch mint proofs and his own incomparable Morgan Dollar collection. This book contains many, many hours of enjoyable reading.

1 comments about The Official U.S. Mint Cent Coin Tubes.
- Tubes too narrow to hold $1 coins. 20 coins will not fit if 1 gets stuck permanently sideways in the center of the tube. Not to mention the product is permanently out of stock. The other tubes manufactured do not hold the quantity stated (only 45 dimes fit into the 50 dime tube) Everything SUCKS. I returned 4 boxes with 16 or 20 defective products and no suitable replacements are available.
