1. While I mostly collect mechanical banks I do have some interest in still banks. This is the book most often referred to by collectors and sellers alike on E-bay or other auction sites regarding size, rarity, and price. The first sections deal with care and reproductions, followed by illustrations of still banks from manufacturers catalogs. Then comes a color section on banks followed by an appendix. There are several drawbacks to this book. The $49.95 price for a book published in 2000 is high in my opinion. Secondly, many of the banks are photographed together rather than individually so you really don't get that much detail. You also do not get too much information on each bank.



2. Great book for the collector. Better than the earlier editions in that it has the prices listed with the pictures instead of in the back of the book.
   Still the same banks that were in the earlier editions though.



3. I was at an auction and five out of the six banks there were listed in the book.



4. The Penny Bank Book is a pictorial and value guide to collecting banks. Containing both good pictures and approximate values, it is the most comprehensive bank collecting book available at this time. It is a must for any serious collector. This is the guide I keep in my car to advise me.

1. Allen Berman's Warman's Coins & Paper Money covers both ancient and modern coins, art medals, bank checks, and commemoratives under one cover. Explanations of grades is quite handy but it's the wider-ranging coverage of this guide which sets it apart and will make it appealing for avid and dedicated collections of all kinds of money.

1. This Portfolio is 16" x 11" which isn't easily put on a shelf. No wonder that wasn't in the description. A Brad was in top right corner of the cover, for reasons unknown. While it will do the job it wasn't what I thought when I ordered it.



2. This item is very functional & sturdy so it serves the purpose, but the coin holders have to be pried out to insert the coin ,sometimes this is difficult.It is a good value for the money though.



3. I was surprised at the size of the Portfolio. It is huge. This is not a Portfolio what will be easy to fit onto a bookcase.



4. The portfolio is nice. A little disappointed that there was not a space for both a Denver Mint coin and a Philadelphia Mint coin. Good buy for the price.



5. I was very pleased with the article. Also, very pleased with the delivery.

1. I bought this book when I started collecting Canadian commemorative dollars and the book has been a big help providing information like mintage figures, images of the coins, and prices. It also gives the sizes in mm for the different coins which makes ordering albums or holders a lot easier.
   I would recommend this book to beginners and long term collectors a like if they are buying Canadian or Mexican coins. I have several other world coin books and this book provides more useful information and is easy to follow.
   I just finished a US modern commemorative collection and I wish I had had this book when I was buying coins for that. The pricing of the coins in this set aren't correct in this book but the other information is valuable.



2. I have ordered this book year after year for my dad for several years. This year he told me that the book has more information about the mexican coins, in fact, he order several books for all his friends.
   
   If you had an older edition or you are interested in mexican coins, you should buy this book.



3. Terrific little book, I use it all the time. If you have been collecting coins for years then you may not need this book but you are going to want it. It catalogs all (as the title suggests) the North American Coins (U.S., Canada & Mexico). On the other hand if you are just getting started in coin collecting then this book is an essential. Either way, it's well written and accurate, enough said.

1. The book contains historical information about each of our 50 States that is just enough for the attention span of children. The fun is collecting the quarters that are minted for each state (the book tells you when each state's will be minted) to put into the outside cover's plastic coin slots. This is a great birthday gift - - you can put a few quarters in the slots to get the kids started on their collection (the last quarters won't be minted until 2008.) This book was a better value than some others that I found; some of the more expensive books or collecting sets had too much extra stuff or too much info to hold a child's attention. I was looking for something specifically for the State Quarters without getting into coin collecting in general, and this fit the bill.
