2. This is not the last version of the book, this one was written 14 years ago, there is another version!!



3. This is an excellent book. I have lost 20-lbs (from 167 - 147) and I just couldn't lose more than 5-lbs on low calorie diets. This one works and I'm never hungry because of the diet.

   I bought this book for a dear friend of mine who only reads in spanish. I don't know if she'll be able to do the diet or not because of tortillas and black beans (she has a husband and two children). We'll see how she does :)

1. Compre el libro hace muchos años en México y es uno de los 2 ó 3 libros de la cocina mexicana que sirven como mis biblias. La volvimos a comprar para regalarla a una amiga. Lo recomiendo ampliamente. (La autora es la hija de El Indio Fernandez)

1. I just received this book and I am so eager to try the recipes. I am mexican and have been trying expand my culinary skills in authentic mexican food. I have found what I was looking for. Salsas, Salsa and more salsas!
   What I love are the different variations from different parts of Mexico. They are authentic. There are not as many pictures as in Mr. Zuritas's other book Bocadillos but I guess you don't need them. Yes, the book is in Spanish which makes it a little harder if you are not fluent in the language however, I do believe that the recipes would be easy to translate.
   I am so impressed with the variety of recipes and how simple they are to make, that I will be purchasing more books to give as gifts for my family. Enjoy Mexican cooking!

1. Compré este libro junto con "Mantenerse en la zona", también por Barry Sears.
   
   Me parece que este se centra un poco mas en la teoría detras de la dieta, mientras que "Mantenerse en la zona" se va un poco más a la práctica.
   
   Ambos libros son una excelente referencia como punto de partida para "entrar en la zona", sin embargo me pareció que "Mantenerse en la zona" es mas útil como punto de partida, puesto que va al grano, y presenta algunas recetas de muestra para darte una idea de posibles "menús" para comenzar con la dieta.
   
   Algo que debe tenerse en claro es que hay algunos errores de traducción que puede dificultar la comprensión de algunos de los conceptos.

1. My mom is a diabetic and this book have exceptionally easy and fast to do recipes that can keep her healthy and on the go. I eager if you have diabetics in your family and wish to help them or be ready for them if they visit this is the book to have.

1. I am 100% Puerto Rican and have been living and eating around the Island for 30 years. I know how Puerto Rican dishes should taste and look like. Wilo's book is a reliable source on Puerto Rican cusine.
   
   This is not a book; it is a piece of art. It contains pictures of the dishes and dessert. Also, the book has an appendix with step-by-step instructions (with pictures) of how to prepare recipes like alcapurrias and pasteles. He proposes new methods that keep the escence of the recipes, but make them easier to prepare.
   
   I have contacted Wilo with comments and questions, and he always answers my emails. The book has a website with videos of some of the recipes:

2. I've bought a few books just looking for the real Puertorican cooking & this is it. I am very happy to finally have found a book that would make me proud to say; this is my cooking. I have bought both in Spanish & English. Why? Well, it'll help me with the language. I am from Puerto Rico & I was looking for recipes that I've heard from my childhood. I can say that this is just the beginning because there is more that meets the eye in Puertorican food. For the money it's been my best investment, no regrets at all. I can't wait for Wilo Benet to make the second edition because I will be one of the hundreds waiting in line to buy it. I really recommend this book to all boricuas out there & to all of those that likes hispanic food.
