4. All what is written has a lot of sense and is very professional written. I am going to start this diet as this Dr is a cardiologist and all what he says is very accurate.
   This is not another book on diets. This is something different that I think can really help me and others.



5. Clearly the guy that wrote about exercising being the only method of losing weight as never tried this book. Its not a diet, but a complete life style change. I have only been on it for a week so I am still in the strict phase, but I have already lost 6 pounds. I feel better about myself and I have more energy. If you are serious about getting healthy, I highly recommend this book. You will not be disappointed.

3. We live in Honduras and I have a maid/cook. I was desperate for a cookbook that had American recipes that she could understand. She has made 4 recipes out of this book and they all turned out wonderful. Its perfect because I can buy the ingredients off of the english side and she can cook off of the spanish side. I wish there were more books like this!



4. A great gift that I purchased for my daughters homestay mom in spain. She speaks no english, loves to cook. This book had recipes on way side of the page in english and the other side in spanish and all american recipes. This was really the only book I found by american cooks.
   She loved it!!



5. I bought this cookbook so my Spanish speaking cook and I could work together more easily and she could learn to make some "gringo" family favorites for us. We both really like the way each receipe is laid out clearly in both Spanish and English side by side. She's learning more English and I'm definately refining my kitchen Spanish with this book. There are no fancy entrees here or gourmet type things in this book and that is just fine with us. The food is basic, simple comfort type fare with standard ingredients that can be purchased at any grocery store cheaply and easily.

1. I just bought 3 of the Cocina Criolla books, it is so great to know that we can still find the same great cooking book that I got when I got 25 years ago. The recipes are still excellent and now our daughters, a new generation, continues the tradition.



2. I am currently going to school to become a private chef. I have over 20 years cooking experience, and I wanted to go pro. My roots are of Puertorrican tradition (boricua). All of these recipes are down to the basics just like AUGUSTE ESCOFFIER Complete Guide To The Art of Modern Cookery. You really must understand traditional Puertorrican cooking to appreciate this book. Ask any puertorrican chef and yes they have it.

4. I may be repeating what others have said ... but I became familiar with this book when I was growing up. I remember making Tembleque using this book as a kid, and it came out wonderful.
   
   My mom used this book as her main cookbook -- and when she gave it away instead of giving it to my sister and I we got really angry (because we wanted the book)! I'm planning to replace it as soon as I get a chance.
   
   The cookbook definitely has traditional puerto rican cooking. The recipes are great.



5. My Mom had this book and my sister has it too. It is the classic cookbook for Puerto Rican food. There is also and English version that leaves nothing out.

1. It's a good book to keep energetic children that have to move or do something everytime. You can read, the child learns doing what it's asked by the reader looking at the nice pictures. It's almost like seing sesame street on tv.
   
   It's a nice book to introduce children to like books.



2. This is a cute book but meant for bigger kids, age 3 and up..there are lots of small parts and text- my son (18 months) likes to look at it but he wants the parts on the front of it badly!! But they are too little for him and he'd try to eat them I am sure!..Good for 3 and up , not appropriate for under 3.



3. This book is so clever. It is about eating healthy foods in a variety of colors. It has my son's (3 years) favorite - ELMO (along with his other pals Big Bird, Grover, and Cookie Monster). You need to be a native Spanish speaker or very proficient to be able to read the text. There are 7 or so sentences per double page spread & it is 6 pages long. It is sturdy and so well made. There is a pull out compartment that cleaverly hids the sturdy discs with pictures of food (different food on each side). I was impressed at how cleaverly the food stores - you shouldn't loose the discs!! They are also very sturdy & great for little fingers. You put the food on different spots throughout the book. It emphasizes eating a variety or colorful fruits & vegetables; it notes that sweets are for sometimes. Deffiently a favorite in our house & I am sure it will be in yours too!

1. This is a totally different book than the one of the same title that has a hourglass on the front, printed in Miami.
   
   It is poorly bound, printed in Spain, and has a compilation of the original TV chef's recipes edited by someone else, comparing recipes, not even similar ingredients are used.
   
   My wife almost returned it until she realized that the recipes probably reflected Castro's economy and the unavailability of some foodstuffs. She kept it as a curiosity

Mi novia tiene la version en ingles y ella consulta este libro todo el tiempo. Este es uno de los mejores libros en esta categoria ya que el autor es medico y no cualquier charlatan. Yo compre este libro usado a traves de Amazon Market Place y el libro estaba en excelente condicion y el envio fue rapido. Realmente recomiendo este libro.



4. This is certainly the best book on nutritional healing that we have found in Spanish. I own all four editions of this book on nutritional healing and we have successfully used all of them over the years. Now our friends who only read and speak Spanish can benefit from the sound advice found in them with this translation of the second edition. We anxiously await the translation of the latest edition. A few names of herbs and nutritional supplements are still in English. A little annoying, but we help our friends with their questions in Mexico where we live.
