2 comments about Training Your Dog for Life (Terra-Nova Series).
- The book is very basic and lacks anything that I haven't seen already in terms of behavior or training. There should be a book to deal with problem situations as that is what readers are looking for?
- Not what I thought it would be but it is a good book. I like these series of books personally.

2 comments about 101 Reasons to Dump Your Man and Get a Cat.
- A wonderful book for those in relationship or out, pet lover or not. Being a cat lover, and having read many similar types of books, I had cetain expectations. I was far more delighted than I expected while reading this book. It reads easily, but no so lightweight as to be uninteresting. Some situations were very recognizable and brought contemplative thought. I enjoyed the various levels of humor: from belly-clutching out-loud laughter, to tongue-in-cheek giggles to simple smiles. For me, while reading it, I always had a smile, even as I reached over to ruffle my husband's hair as I pushed him over to make room for Munice, my Maine Coon cat. If you need some comic relief in your life, I recommend you read this book 101 Reasons to Dump Your Man and Get a Cat and find the reasons that might have you heading to the animal shelter or cattery.

1 comments about The Quotable Barn Cat.
- This is such a cute book for anyone who loves cats. It has adorable pictures and such cute "messages of wisdom"! It certainly does not pertain to just barn cats but applies equally to city cats! Anyone who loves cats will identify with so many pearls of wisdom here. This makes a great stocking stuffer or if you want to give a little something to someone special. It can easily be read in one sitting and would be wonderful for a parent to read to a child as the pictures are cute and the reading beneath them is short and interesting.

2 comments about Year of the Tiger (National Geographic).
- This is a wonderful book for anyone who loves tigers. It is packed with spectacular photos of tigers, most in their natural environment. There are also some pictures of other wildlife & of native peoples.
There are pictures of tigers with their cubs, ready to pounce & many close-ups. Sadly, there are others of tigers in captivity. I loved the pictures of the white tigers especially a rare one with orange stripes instead of black. If you can tear yourself away from the pictures the text is equally impressive. The author tells of his adventures in national parks throughout Asia. He also discusses the plight of tigers & other animals of the area being killed for there furs or horns and what is being done to protect them. There is a list of conservationists in the back if you want to help.
- I thought that this book was remarkable in the explanation of the year of the tiger and with what cultures that it pertains to.

2 comments about American Pye: Autobiography of a Cat.
- Through a rough and tumble journey beyond the old adobe homestead, Pye has an uncanny knack of landing on her feet. She has big, piercing blue eyes that don't miss a trick and a self-deprecating sense of humor to boot. Sounds an awful lot like a Twain creation, but without the sass. It's a short read but memorable...almost like a dream. And, like a dream, the narrative and it's main character might just haunt you a while, but gladly. This is a gift, no matter how you look at it; it's a human story and an animal story; it's sentimental and it's true. It's perhaps the best of both worlds.
- A great read for cat lovers. I enjoyed reading about the renovation of the farm, the observations of Pye, the interaction with the other feline population and the farm animals. Well done!
