1. I purchased this calendar for my husband. The pictures are nice and the blocks for the days are large enough for him to write reminders. He likes it very much.

3. Maybe the last reviewer is referring to the "mini" Cat Naps calendar, but I have the 2007, and just looked at the 2008 in a store, and the pics are not the same. I find having this calendar with these wonderful pictures of cats at absolute peace helps lower my stress during the day. The big version (not mini) is a wonderful new batch of pics.



4. I just received my 2008 Cat Naps Calendar. It has the same photos as the 2007 calendar! Did they think we wouldn't notice? Unless you're wild about repetition, look elsewhere!

1. every christmas eve i bring out this book and we sit by the fire with cookies and milk and i read this to my daughter and granddaughter we all enjoy it very much



2. Cats and Carols by Lesley Anne Ivory is filled with vibrant, Christmas-themed backgrounds in which her beautifully realistic cats play, cuddle, nap, and pose. In fact, there is one picture of a fuzzy yellow kitten, named Dandelion, napping on a patchwork Christmas quilt. I have been collecting fabrics in order to replicate the quilt. For each cat portrait there is a Christmas carol; some have more verses than I knew existed! This is a wonderful book! If you love Christmas, and/or cats and/or Christmas carols, I highly recommend this book!

This is a lavishly illustrated picture book with a gorgeous layout: each 2-page spread features the text of a Christmas carol (with all the verses, not just the familiar ones) with decorative initial letters and a lovely border on the left page; the facing page contains a painting (with matching border) of a cat or cats in a setting that illustrates the carol. Although the settings are fantastical, the paintings are realistic rather than cartoonish or childish in any way, so that the cats look absolutely real. Both adults and childrens can enjoy this beautiful book.

1. I've been a fan of the Cat Page-a-Day Calender for years now. It makes every morning worth waking up for! Even my own cat approves.



2. This collection of photos is beautiful and inspiring. I have it on my desk at work and get many compliments on the quality of the pictures. I love the quotes and sayings as well. If you love cats you will love this calendar!



3. We buy this calendar every year to give as Christmas presents for our cat-loving friends and family. We don't have to buy our own because my sister always give us one. We look forward to "Cat of the Day Time" when we turn to the new page. The photos are terrific.



4. This is a beautifully-made and beautifully-photographed calendar. I had the 2007 version and tried for some time to find a vendor who carried the 2008 version. It is cleverly constructed to show the first 6 months on one side of the pages and the other 6 months by flipping the pages over and putting them back in the plexiglass frame. I was very glad that Amazon carried the item, and at more than $5.00 off the retail suggested price. I hope they carry the future versions as well.

1. This book is a real gem for a cat lover. It is gentle, and does bring an occasional tear to ones eyes. It's full of the incredible healing nature of cats. It acknowledges that the cat is a mysterious, loyal creature and is full of purrfect sayings. This is a treasure, I read before bed. Snuggling with my own felines. It is a warm place and a great book.
   If you are feeling world worn its a good place to rest for awhile, reading about something you understand.

Please ... buy this book and/or send it to anyone who could use some spiritual and humorous relief.



4. Being a cat-lover and having read many books about cats, it was with great delight that I read this absolutely different piece of reading!! The idea of transfering experiences with cats to human beings transforms every story into a trip to our most intimate feelings... It is one of the most beautiful books I`ve ever read! I wish I could publish it here in Brazil... Many Brazilian cat-lovers who don`t know English would be able to enjoy it too... Thank you for the wonderful moments I had.



5. This is a great meditation book for cat lovers as well as for those who like to apply Bible verses to their life. You can read just one meditation per day, or read a lot, whatever you're in the mood for. I received it for my birthday and plan to buy one for another friend's birthday. Makes great gifts for cat lovers!

1. Excelent pictures, writing, and presentation. However I think it woud be much more interesting to invest in the main matters and not so much in tricks.
   I would give 5 stars if the method of administering medication were explained more fully, as well as cleaning hears, bathing, etc...

3. I found this book extremely helpful. I had been looking for information on my cat's behavior problems, specifically litter box avoidance and furniture scratching, and the other books I'd tried either didn't have much information or were poorly organized, making it hard to find the info I needed. However, Communicating With Your Cat was well organized and well written, with lots of helpful information and suggestions on behavior problems. Not only does the author cover how to deal with behavior problems, but goes into a lot of detail about why they occur, so I understood what was happening and why. The book really improved my understanding of how my cat thinks. I could tell the author really cares about cats, and her suggestions worked -- Squeak scratches on her cat tree now and uses her litter box! Lots of other interesting information, too -- I particularly liked the chapters on how to develop a bond with your cat, the origins of cats, and the cat's senses. Lots of great photos and illustrations, too.

   The book is a bargain. I give it five stars. Everyone owned by a cat should have this book!

Helgren did a wonderful job of describing the evolution of the cat and how nature selectively created the breed of the domestic cat that is uniquely capable of loving humans just as much as we love them. The book describes cat behavior and teaches us to translate a simple meow into a meaningful sentence that we can use to establish a meaningful relationship with out feline friends. If you have ever wondered why your cats do the things they do, reading this book will explain it. Many color photos and step by step training included.
