1. This book has a color photo on one page with a phrase under it and on the facing page it has a paragraph. For example: Page 26: "All of our nine lives are happier when we watch out for one another. Treat others as you wish to be treated. You may not have met them all yet, but SVOs (Special Valued Others) are present in your life - charish them." They do not all have "cat" slants (Nine lives). The paragraphs are very much "Self help" type. The photos are cute and get five stars, but the words are a little too preachy so two stars overall. I prefer books like "What Kittens Are", "Zen Cat", "What Cats Teach Us", "Cat Naps",etc.

1. This book is riddled with mistakes. To name a few, 1. it says that cows are related to horses and swine (if you are going that far back in evolution then you might as well say that they are related to us), 2. several photos have misnamed the breed of cow in the picture, 3. says that Guernseys come from France (they originated on the channel island of Guernsey), 4. a photo shows some Muskoxen as being a type of wild cow (they are more closely related to goats), 5. the book states that cows have no incisors (they do have LOWER incisors). I could go on.

1. Not sure I agree with the previous review. This book is definitely a great companion piece to Kim's dog work. Like she does with dogs, Kim Levin has definitely been able to capture a cat's personality on film (not an easy feat!). And the black & white photography really gives the book a timeless feel to it. I give these out as gifts all the time, and have had nothing but compliments.

   She'll even sign one for you if you buy it from her website.




2. Indifferent text and lackluster black-and-white photos make for an overall boring book. Very disappointing.

1. This is a lovely book. I will giving this book to all my animal loving friends. There is a poem and quote on every page about how special pets are in our lives. The illustrations are beautiful. Jim Daly's art really captured the soul of dogs and cats in this book. Don't buy just one book, you will want many to give away.

1. This book is heartwarming and cute. All of these coffee table animal books are about the same. This one was no different. The pictures are adorable the writing is mediocre.

4. I loved this book. Mr. Lund's foxy use of words and pictures lets us into the afterhour life of the animals is our life. I am giving it for a Christmas present. Read it! You will be glad you did.



5. This book will be loved by young and old alike. It is full of warmth and lots of laughs. These clever photographs of animals will have us all saying .. Hmmmmmm what are they doing when we leave the house. Great work Mr. Lund !!

1. As a first grade teacher, mother and grandmother I find this book delightful. Children love the colorful illustrations and the lesson the book teaches. This is a must read with your child or classroom. I look forward to more adventures of P. T. Kitty.
