- Catlore is a pretty good read as long as the author sticks to the topic.
Unfortunately he often goes off on tangents with screeds concerning cat neutering, Christianity, European culture and human nature among other things.
- just like its preceeding book "catwatching", "Catlore" just arms you with knowledge written in a way that makes you most receptive to the information. i read the book years ago in 4th grade and now, at 24 years old, i cant say enough good things about it. anyone that doesnt read this book is at a loss
- so if you're looking to catproof a couch or something, buy this book. It'll tell you about the secret herb that cats hate.

- Not sure I agree with the previous review. This book is definitely a great companion piece to Kim's dog work. Like she does with dogs, Kim Levin has definitely been able to capture a cat's personality on film (not an easy feat!). And the black & white photography really gives the book a timeless feel to it. I give these out as gifts all the time, and have had nothing but compliments.
She'll even sign one for you if you buy it from her website.
- Indifferent text and lackluster black-and-white photos make for an overall boring book. Very disappointing.
