1. This book provides a large amount of detailed information on the badges, patches, head gear and vehicles of America's state troopers. To a collector of state officer memorabilia this book would be the current standard reference on the subject. However, it goes beyond that. For the general state police history or law enforcement buff the book fills the bill nicely as it traces the organizational origins of America's 'Road Law', agency by agency across the nation.
   
   The book is an important state law enforcement guide with a historical prospective geared for both the collector and those with an interest in state law enforcement history.

1. Wow, what an informative, helpful book if you have any interest in vintage jewelry or hand-painted porcelain. Wish I had some of the pieces featured here....



2. I read the reviews on this book prior to purchasing it. I also noted the reference to another book: LIVING WITH LIMOGES and I purchased it. Of course I compared the two. LIVING WITH LIMOGES is FANTASTIC and has an entire section on WEARING YOUR LIMOGES that is informative, professional and has fabulous photographs of thousands of hand painted pieces. The quality of Living With Limoges is much better than this book Painted Porcelain. I personally don't like paperback books and Painted Porcelain is a paperback. I thought I would enjoy both but my recommendation - don't bother spending the money on paperback reference books -- put your money toward the better book.



3. I love this book!! I also love Debby DuBay's book: LIVING WITH LIMOGES! Both authors "brooch" the subject of hand painted jewelry, buttons, brooches, hat pins, etc.!! A must for the collector.



4. The author has a wealth of information! (Too bad the publishing company made this a poor quality product, and a soft cover book. No justice to the content!)I love hand painted buttons and brooches and received this book and LIVING WITH LIMOGES which has a section on such, over the holidays. The two books have provided me with much information.



5. Dorothy Kamm's Painted Porcelain Jewelry And Buttons pairs gorgeous large color photos with a value guide to painted buttons and jewelry. The primarily-floral designs are gorgeous and are accompanied by the latest values.

1. A wonderful book for any collector of buckles. Great clear pictures with short and too the point descriptions. What else does he collect? Anyone who has this many buckles must have a wealth of other collectibles. A great reference for the beginner or the experience collector. Not just another coffee table book.

1. This is a small book, black and white photos of very old buttons. Hardly any buttons from the 1920's on. Not enough information to make it worthwhile. I was quite disappointed, did not feel it was worth what I paid for it. The book itself was in good condition and was sent promptly.



2. In this book, Diana Epstein gave us a fine overview of the world of button collecting. She covered a majority of the types of buttons sought after by collectors and her written information, as always,was well researched and presented. The pictures used are good representations of the buttons covered in the book, and most helpful. Personally I would recommend this book to all those interested in antique buttons, beginners and advanced collectors alike....

1. I've owned this book since I met Ted Hake at a pinback show in the early 90's. What a great help it's been in evauluating my collection. With pictures of every pin to help me identify them, it has been a convenient tool. I am also impressed with the extent of knowledge about pin manufacturers, paper inserts, and other related items. The pinback button collector should not be without this book !
