3 comments about 101 Questions Your Cat Would Ask Its Vet (If Your Cat Could Talk).
- This is the only cat book I have seen that combines simplicity, entertainment and common sense. It should be required reading for every cat owner; you can dip into it anywhere and draw up useful information. I have been giving copies of this book to the new cat owners among my relatives and friends for years.
Beware! There is another, larger, very glossy imitation of this book, published in 1999, that also has "101 Questions" in the title. The people who created it, whom I suspect of trying to capitalize on the success of Fogle's simple, modest, and beautiful book, should be left in a cage without food, water, or a clean catbox for an extended period of time.
- Great book, mainly for those who didn't have ever had a cat. Serious but simple with lots of good advices and things everyone having a cat should know! I have loved it! Maria Manuel (Portugal)
- This is a great book for cat lovers. Brought many smiles..

5 comments about The Encyclopedia of MacAws.
- I am still stunned with the beautiful quality of the photographs in this book. Worth the price if for no other reason than the way these photos were printed. I've never seen it done like this before. Very unusal method.
- The text is probably a direct translation from German. Has some funny expressions, rarely used in English. The information on classification of macaws is out of date. The same goes for the other information in the book. Too often some irrelevant and not so important historical notes are given, like dates of hatching in some zoos from the last century, or first pairing, etc. There is lack of consistence in dealing with the species description. The book is good for its superb photos. It is also maybe the only one to have drawings of the extinct macaw species. Otherwise, ... nay!
- 4 Stars for the incrediable photos! Outdated material and it's text appears to be translated from German, but the photos are awesome. The test does get into each Macaw type and their respective geographic information that is interesting, but most any other data should be read elsewhere in a more updated, newer U.S. text.
- If you want some of the MOST beautiful pictures of macaws to ever grace an item in print, this book is for you. Some features include illustrations of extinct macaws, and a discussion of native habitat.
The one complaint I have about this book is the elementary content; add to that the horribly DATED information on diet, behaviour, etc., ... Still, buy it for the photos alone!
- This book is spectacular it tells u every thing u need to know about macaws from how they eat to how they sleep, bathe, etc. I really enjoyed this book you really should read it I did.

2 comments about The Guide to Owning a Parakeet (Budgie).
- About 75% of the information in this book is about breeding budgies in avaries or for competitions. there was little information that was specifically for pet owners, and some of the information was incorrect (for instance, it recommends grit and seeds instead of pellets). however, the writers attitude toward pet birds was refreshing: he really stresses paying plenty of attention to them and preserving their 'natural' bird behavior. however, someone who cares enough about their pet to buy a book about them already knows that.
- This book has been very helpful. John Bales has very concisely informed the reader all about choosing, breeding, and raising parakeets. Unfortunately, the budgie that I had originally bought this book for died the day I received the book. However, it was an immediate help as it taught me to diagnose the problem with my bird and what I could do, if anything, to avoid it happening again. Also, it has been a big help in my selecting a new budgie.

1 comments about Clem: The Story of a Raven.
- If you love true stories about wild animals, you'll love this book. This story is the true telling by Owings Dewey about a baby raven that she and her husband rescued and then raised. She relates all the endearing antics of Clem in a way that educates, entertains and ultimately makes you fall in love with this intelligent, sometimes comical little bird. The book highlights the relationship the author has with Clem, and the relationship that develops between the author's newborn daughter and Clem as they both grow over the course of a couple of years. The author also shows how her relationship with Clem had to change inorder to ensure his survival. The ending of the story is bittersweet and powerful. The book made me wish I had known Clem personally, I can't seem to get him off my mind.

1 comments about The Complete Book of Canaries.
- This book is arranged alphabetically to allow the rapid access of any information about canaries. Dodwell is an expert fancier who has been instrumental in re-establishing some of the old canary breeds in Britain. The book is richly illustrated with official breed standard sketches published by the CONFEDERATION ORNITHOLOGIQUE MONDIALE, modern photographs, and vintage Victorian canary breed illustrations. With very indepth and accurate information, this book will be of value to hobyists as well as lovers of interesting books.
