2 comments about Bayon: New Perspectives.
- Bayon New Perspectives is an actuel professional work about this particular Khmer temple and is certainly of great use for professionals, sholars but also comprehensible for non-experts. A basic interest in and knowledge of this templecomplex is helpfull for the understanding of the different studies and aspects treated in this work.
To estimate the real value of this book and enjoy it completely the reader should preferably have had the occasion to visit Khmer monuments in Cambodia, in Thailand or/and in Laos or at least have read some standard works about the Khmer architecture.

- First I'd like to correct information errors noted above, book description say 204 pages, it's really 403 page. This is a very through review of the Bayon temple in Siem Reap, Cambodia, having been there myself, this book is very detailed in it's coverage of the Bayon in almost all of it's aspects, making me want to return to Cambodia to see all that I've missed...

5 comments about Morphosis: Recent Works (Planet Architecture).
- This CD is a bit short of a new media experience; the content and file size is limited and low res.; I had hoped it would permit more detailed viewing than the equivalent material in book form. I also bought the Hadid CD which was several years newer, slightly better presentation and more content. Still neither gave the satisfaction of flipping pages at the coffee table or on the thrown.
- Glad that Morphosis is featured in the planet architecture series. The virtual reality panoramas really show you the power of these digital archives. I haven't got a chance to be in many of these buildings so these archives get me as close as i can get. Lots of good info and interesting interviews. Looking forward to seeing more archives on these great architects.
- I found this cd-rom to very informative of the architectural world. Morposis is a very intersting firm with very intriguing designs and projects. I look forward to seeing more of Morphosis's work.
- This is a very good cd. Any architecture student should prchase it. I would buy it again.
- Morphosis is leading the way for new architecture with innovative, fluid designs today, and what a better way to discover their works than through Planet Architecture's feature CD-Rom. It is comprehensive with plenty of exciting photos, drawings, interviews, and so much more providing you with a deeper understanding and analysis of the projects without dry reading. It includes much more interesting content than any comparative book and for a very modest price. Rather than breeze through a lacking book, the CD engages your interests as you explore and interact. Navigating through the CD is intuitively easy. It is well worth the money to get complete studies on the many dynamic projects listed. I recommend it to anyone that is considering, you will not be disappointed!

4 comments about Introducing & Implementing Autodesk Revit Building.
- This is a good text. However, it wasn't the latest edition. It would have been nice to see an edition in the product description not receive the product before you realize it is an older version.
- This book didn't really help me a whole lot because it's a little too basic in terms of teaching you how to figure out the program. But it does do a good job of explaining the very basic features and benefits of using Autodesk Revit
- this book helped me on the first day it arrived. i needed help on how to "model" a curtain wall. there it was. the steps that the book went into detail were very good. i keep this book at my desk at work!
- I've been using Revit since release 4. I'm on release 8 now.
The help menu within the software itself is detailed and user friendly, but it does not address issues specific to architectural offices i.e. implementing new software into an established practice.
The book 'Introducing & Implementing Autodesk Revit Building' more than adequately addresses every conceivable issue regarding implementation and when used in conjunction with Autodesk Revit's built in help menu should be the only references you'll need to take you from concept to completion on just about any sized architectural project.
It's a sound investment for the novice or more advanced Revit user.

1 comments about Building Type Basics for Recreational Facilities (Building Type Basics).
- "Building Type Basics for Recreational Facilities" is an essential guide for anyone contemplating the design and construction of recreation facilities, be they owner, developer or architect. Although, as stated in Stephen Kliment's excellent preface, it is "not a coffee table book", it does have a section containing 26 color plates of some of the more interesting projects.
It is a utilitarian book --- an architect's contemporary "Graphic Standards" for recreation facilities. It makes easier the programming and planning of every conceivable type of recreation project, plus some this reviewer had never heard of! The majority of projects are complete with sketches, floor plans and photographs. There are numerous charts and design standards. Every area of concern is covered from basic programming through design, engineering systems, interiors, operation and maintenance to costing/financing and sustainability issues.
"Building Type Basics for Recreational Facilities" is a well designed book, with text that spells out clearly and simply guidelines for the design of a myriad of recreational project types ---a vital tool for the experienced and as well first time owner, developer and architect.
