1. Easy to understand, easy to follow... It gives a very good notion of structural design for seismic protection for various types od structures. There are no complex mathematical formulas or sophisticated explanations of member behaviours. It is not definitelly for advanced design yet a good introduction to aseimic design and very helpful for young engineers. I got this book from my university library by chance yesterday, and I ordered it today. It is a good book to keep in my library...



2. This book is good for engineers and architects who are looking for basic concept of seismic design. It is easy to understand. It's not a book for preparation of CA seismic test for civil engineer. It does not have many complicated formulas but it has many illustrations, do and don't's in designs. I recommend to people who want to learn about earthquake without having to know all the complicated formulas & technical jargons.

1. This VHDL book is targeted more to the VHDL beginners. It contains a quite good html-based VHDL workshop and the VHDL '93 online reference. It covers only a little bit the new emerging analog mixed-signal extension to VHDL which is called VHDL-AMS. The VHDL-AMS chapter was very disappointing to me.

   If you are looking for a book about VHDL-AMS you're better off with the following book:

1. Forget how great the book is, the author is one of the best guys I know. Buy it because he is one of the best architects out there, insightful, concise and germaine - no frills, just functionality. He is also a price of a guy. I know, we went to high school together.



2. It is and excellant planner. I have one on my desk. The cartoons are great. I know a lot of time and thought went into this product. I hope it is the first in a line of many.



3. Concisely arranged, with elegant graphics. The book is chocked full of unusual, architect-specific information. The Construction Documents, ADAAG Compliance, and Environmental Design Checklists are especially handy.



4. As someone with a busy and varied schedule, tools such as this are necessary to help maintain control. I even enjoyed the sense of humor included in the planner. It is rare that you find an item that is as on target as this book.
