- A nice solid spark if you do identity work. Untitled Books in Soho and Amazon are the only places I've been able to find it, a good inspiration-resource and a refreshing alternative to the overflow of tacky pretentious desin books like Flatness Is God and 007 License To Design.

- I am a Vocational Professor at Amarillo College in the Computer Assisted Design department. I have used different editions of this text for years to teach the MicroStation courses in our department. He covers basics thoroughly and provides excellent exercises using practical working drawings. My advanced course includes customization and 3D topics, all of which are included in this text. I recommend it highly.
- Harnessing MicroStation/J is an adequate learning tool for beginners, but suffers from a lack of advanced topics. Several high level features are not even mentioned, ie. b-spline curves and surfaces and plot tables. The index is very weak. The few entries that are there, use obscure program names for features, instead of common subject names.
This won't replace the User or Reference Guide for MicroStation/J, you will want to keep them at hand. It does give a good second look at the basic concepts in MicroStation.

- This book is very well organized. I found it extremely informative. Starts with the history of PC board processes and modern techniques, design and limitation. It guides you through several examples of PC board design and schematic design also. It shows you how to use AutoCad to generate Gerber and Excellon files for PC board House production.
The floppy included with the book contains example files that are used in the book. The floppy also contains utilities and librarys of symbols and parts. This is a great book. It leaves nothing out. You will find everything here. I really did not know much about how to use AutoCad, but by reading and working the examples, I learned how professionals use AutoCad. Many technical books leave out key points and jump from subject to subject. Some even change terminology slightly and leave you wondering. Not this one. This book is a precise work. Its clear, that the author is an expert in this field. WHAT A GREAT, LEARNING EXPERIENCE.
