1. This book is great in its written and graphic information about what is in a good set of drawings. I use it to teach construction documents for residential construction, but it also explains isometrics and perspectives. It includes well drawn examples my students can look at as well as specific instructions and examples of what should be included on each drawing. It covers arch, stuctural, and site drawings for both a residential and light commercial. I use it for a AutoCad drafting class because it works so well as a guide for either hand or computer drafting. it explains the Drawing Conventions for line types, material harthes and detail cuts. it has isometric examples to show how sections are cut thru the building. And it isn't too big or expensive.

1. This book is a huge disappointment. When i picked it up at border's i assumed at that price it would be spectacular..it is not..it's an odd book with usual images and hard to follow text. I had wanted to see the book because you rarely hear anything about Marly, the kings favorite palace, if Louis liked you, he would invite you to Marly, it was spectacular and you do get a feel for it in this book, but not enough to pay this staggering price. It's a mediocre book, with a shocking sticker price...just buy the Montclos book on Versailles, now that's a GREAT book and well worth it's price.



2. This book covers many structures, commissioned by Louis XIV, that were either built or were designed but not executed. The pictures that the authors did themselves are spetacular! The text is also above average. I however must warn you it is not worth $135.00 which is the book's retail price. The book's length was a huge dissapointment. It is only 208 pages (not 224 as they say in the book description) which includes the table of contents, index, bibliography, etc. The authors did not fill the pages with as many illustrations and text as I would've liked.If I had it to do over again would not pay the retail price for this book. I would buy a used one instead. Overall though, despite its length, the book does provide the reader with an in-depth look at the exquisite architecture of the Sun King.

1. The quality of the paper of the perspective charts are not good enough to be used for several time and the converged lines printed on them are not truly straight!



2. You sent these to me folded into small squares. I will never be able to get the folds out of the paper. This will make them very difficult to use! Roll them up and send them in a tube!

1. This book has excellent step-by-step instructions for how-to, materials, and how to adapt for students of various grade levels. A very valuable feature is many ready made enrichment activities for math, science, social studies, and language arts. We are using it for a summer session with 9th through 11th grade students!
